In GEICO’s case, they actually had a separate clause in the contract that specifically allowed them the right to not renew the policy for literally any reason they wanted, so when I pressed them on the subject, they changed their tune and said that while I hadn’t violated my contract, they were not renewing my policy

I don’t disagree with you, but the verbiage states that parts that fail as a result of track use are not covered. They never state that the vehicle warranty is void if you track the car. That’s a very distinct difference.

It’s the same thing I ran into with GEICO, where they claimed that they were dropping my coverage

I have an entire blog dedicated to autocrossing my BRZ, an associated YouTube channel, Facebook Page, and Instagram, and have had no issues getting warranty work done (including a brand new clutch assembly and transmission due to non-racing-related failures) because my dealership isn’t run my complete assholes. There

Kinda-sorta-not-really-related: GEICO also doesn’t like BRZs doing fun stuff.

The onus is on the manufacturer to prove the failure was the result of abuse on the track. The onus is not on YOU to prove it DIDN’T occur. Innocent until proven guilty.

I genuinely don’t understand the hatred some people have towards proximity keys. I’ve driven/owned multiple vehicles with these systems for YEARS, and they’ve been nothing other than incredibly convenient. The ONLY time I’ve ever had an issue was when the vehicle battery started dying, and caused the vehicle to not

Any more info on that $180k lawsuit? Not that I don’t believe you, I’m just curious to find out more about how big of an asshole that person was, lol.

We’re halfway there!!!

“Shoes with belt-sanders.”

This made me laugh just picturing it. This absolutely needs to be a sport.

I bought the LC 130. I’ve spent 1% of the time using it for things I need it for, and 99% of the time having fun blinding the SHIT out of my friends at night with strobe mode, lol. It’s bright AF!

They’ve offered STi parts for the BRZ for years now. If people can’t figure that out, it’s not Subaru’s fault! My BRZ came with no less than EIGHT STi logos on it from the factory over two years ago!

That’s exactly what it is. They aren’t even trying to troll people. The people are doing that to themselves with articles like this one.

There are always unique situations. There are high-pressure fuel lines, blazing hot exhaust headers, etc... all packed in close proximity in the engine bay. Crash test a car 100 times and you’ll never have exactly the same damage.

For every Subaru that hits a deer and catches fire, there are at least 1,000 that hit a deer and don’t. There are high pressure fuel pumps, fuel lines, blazing hot exhaust headers, etc... all packed in there. It’s completely unrealistic to expect a car to NEVER catch fire when the front end is smashed.

How do they determine size, mass, and speed without knowing any of the three? What’s to say it wasn’t a larger meteor moving more slowly? Or does the frequency of the wobbling allow them to positively conclude all of the information.

So every Marvel movie is great, despite being the same basic premise every time, but Avatar is crap because the story wasn’t original?

So what happened at 1:50? Was he avoiding something on the track? He almost seemed to shake his head in disappointment after.

“...sending the car careening into traffic...”

He was making a joke, lol.

I LOL’d :P
