To be honest, the Tahoe owner needs to take a defensive driving course. They don’t appear to hit the brakes until the dump truck has pretty much almost cleared their vehicle, lol.

Remember that gravity acts the same on the entire vehicle, regardless of mass. Once it’s in the air, all else being equal, the front and rear will drop at the same rate until you reach speeds high enough for wind resistance to take effect (think dropping the vehicle from an airplane.)

The only thing that affects the

Holy fuck. You are a terrible person.

Short version of my story:

Decide to sell my car. I drive 1.5 hours one way, buyer drives 1.5 hours the other way for us to “meet in the middle.” He tries to pay me with PayPal, but for some reason the app won’t let him send me money. Then I try requesting money, which doesn’t work either. We then tried the desktop

All these people saying they could never feel safe in a car like my BRZ on the roads. WHO’S LAUGHING NOW???

Because you use the word “proof” as if I’m intending to use it in court. Nobody says, “I took the photo as proof of the license plate,” when referring to remembering a plate, be it a funny plate or whatever. They say, “I took a photo to remember the plate by.”

When people use “proof” in common parlance, it suggests

Ugh. Okay, so it’s proof for ME, then... to prove to myself that I know what her plate was... if that’s what you’re stupidly trying to state.

The point you were trying to make was that it “incriminates” me, but what I’m trying to say is I would never have offered that photograph up to anyone else. Nobody else would

I’m using the photo to remember a plate number. If I had mentioned that I had written her plate number down on a piece of paper, would we be having this argument right now? No. Because that wouldn’t be proof of anything. I’m using the photo solely to record her number. I’m not using it to PROVE anything. I’m not

Judge: “When did you record her plate number?”

Me: “When I parked. I’ve had bad experiences with people dinging my car parking too close to me, so I take photos of plates when I park next to a beaten-up car that is poorly parked to begin with, just in case.”

Jesus fucking christ, dude. This isn’t rocket science. The photo is NOT being used as proof of anything. It’s being used to remind me what the plate number was. It’s the digital equivalent of making a mental note of her plate number.

I’d have no “proof” just as I’d have no “proof” if I had made a mental note. When you

Not if it impedes upon another space, or other area that needs to remain open for passing traffic. Keep on making assumptions, though :)

Ok, what if I’m sitting in my car, and this lady pulls out of the spot next to me, sideswiping my car in the process, and leaves? What would I do? I’d immediately write down her plate number, and then call the police to report a hit-and-run using her plate number to identify the offending vehicle.

I took a photo so

I NEVER park over the line just because the car next to me did the same thing, and I think people who do that are assholes too. Don’t perpetuate the issue. Otherwise you’re just as bad as the person who “started it.”

Of course there is someone always willing to be a bigger asshole. There’s a reason why I don’t do this

The photo was for my own records because it’s easier to take a photo of a license plate than to write it down.

What is the purpose of the white lines, then, exactly, if the other driver is on equal footing as me for parking across both spots?

And if my alternatives are park in the last available space, or park illegally, then I’ll park in the last available space.

I suppose if you’re a big enough asshole to park like that, you’re probably a big enough asshole to do that too, lol.

I would have laughed so hard watching them do that. I wish they had, lol.

What if this was the only spot left available in the parking lot?

Stepping off a curb into an active roadway is an example of YOU doing something blatantly wrong. Parking within the lines, I am doing nothing blatantly wrong. I’m just doing my best to park in a spot that’s been intruded into by someone else.

By your

Well that would just prove that they are indeed assholes.
