If you are trying to suggest that you can’t feel the difference in handling between a WRX and a BRZ, then (and I really don’t mean this in a nasty way, but I don’t know how else to put it) you really aren’t a handling enthusiast. I drove my friends 2015 STi, and while the power was hilarious compared to my BRZ, the

The only thing that the comments prove is that the horsepower wars of the last few years have severely skewed the public’s perception of what a sports car is, and how much power you need to merge on the highway.

I dunno how you drive, but I have no problem merging into traffic with my BRZ. I didn’t know you needed 500 HP to daily on the highway these days...

...but... the BRZ has a few benefits over a WRX... and to people who value those specific things (driving position, chassis balance, handling and feedback), the BRZ wipes the floor with the WRX.

Boring if you like straight-line speed. That’s like saying, “Your ultrabook is boring.” No. It isn’t it just serves an ENTIRELY different purpose than your 10-ton gaming laptop.

I get 34 MPG highway with my BRZ... at 78 MPH.

You’re very clearly a numbers guy. That’s one type of car person. There are people who value other things in a car. Such as feedback and handling. If you think a Cobalt SS can come close to providing the kind of driving position, feedback, chassis balance, etc... as a BRZ, then I want what you’re smoking.

If you think the rear seats of a Mustang are cramped, then you’ve clearly never sat in the back seats of a smaller sports car like a BRZ. Honestly, the rear seats of the Mustang are fine for short family trips somewhere on a nice day (my dad rented a 2016 Convertible for a few weeks over the summer and we always had

I’m eyeing this specifically to add to my tire trailer for autocross days with my BRZ. I hate having to quickly drive up to the air pump near the trailer between heats when my tires have cooled down and lost 5 PSI.

Yes.

As a BRZ owner, it sounds like you’re doing it wrong.

“DESTROYED” suggests that they beat it by more than a unit of time so small as to likely be more within the realm of error than anything else...

Well, again, it all comes down to cost.

Again, it’s not that more power isn’t possible. It’s that more power isn’t possible without driving the cost up. Mazda has been working on the Miata since the stone age, and it still doesn’t have a ton of power.

Keep in mind, though, that most cars with a 4 and 6 cylinder engine option are designed from their inception for both eventualities. The Mustang is a good example. I’m not saying it costs Ford a fortune to shove a V8 in there, because they need to redesign the entire car first. Ford designed the car from Day 1 with

I can only assume you’re trolling at this point. If you aren’t, then you’re clearly too dumb to understand why your comments are so silly.

If you buy the BRZ with an automatic, you’re doing it wrong.

That car also has an entirely different chassis and drivetrain... not sure what your point is.

I test drove the 2.0t (auto because it was all they had) and was very disappointed...
...but I drove the 3.8R Track Spec a week later and that was an entirely different car and a lot of fun. I suspect the auto is what really ruined the 2.0t for me.

And the Miata has never had that much power, and is still the answer to everything.
