To echo my reply to another comment, there is nothing inherently wrong with the Genesis Coupe. My meaning wasn’t that it is a bad car, but that it was a different kind of car. More of a competitor to the 370Z and the Mustang. Closer to a muscle car, than a handling king. My intention was merely to point out that

I’m not saying it couldn’t use more power. I’m just saying that it cannot be discounted completely as “not a sports car.” It is still an absolute blast to drive on twisty back roads, and at autocross, etc... and that makes it a sports car!

Agree. It isn’t that simple. I just needed a target for my comparison, and I hate the Genesis Coupe, not because it’s a BAD car (it’s a different kind of car; more of a muscle car than a handler) but because idiots always say “YOU CAN GET A GENESIS FOR THE SAME PRICE AND IT IS BETTER THAN THE TOYOBARU IN EVERY SINGLE

I don’t disagree with you :P

But you don’t understand that it isn’t that simple. The can’t just give it 50% more power without doing anything else to the car. They aren’t complete idiots.

Sure, you or I can buy a forced-induction kit, slap it on and call it a day, but an OEM sure as hell won’t do that. They have to honor a powertrain warranty for

I’m not being salty. I wouldn’t say no to more power. I’m saying you’re an idiot if you discount the car entirely as “not a sports car” simply because it isn’t as fast as a Mustang in a straight line. There are different kinds of sports car, and not all of them revolve around horsepower.

As a BRZ owner myself, I concur.

As a BRZ owner, I will also point out that any manufacturer that tries to make a “sporty” vehicle that has less than six-million HP might as well give up. The “Horsepower Wars” of the past few years (I’m looking at you, Hellcat) have brainwashed 90% of today’s car “enthusiasts” into

In case you didn’t see my answer to him, it’s because I bought a tow hook plate relocation kit. It screws into the tow hook mount, allowing me to run a front plate (as required by law here in Illinois) without drilling permanent holes in the front bumper.

It has nothing to do with looks. It has to do with not drilling holes in the bumper to mount the plate, in hopes that one day I’ll live somewhere where a front plate isn’t required at all. It’s offset because that’s where the tow hook point is, to which this tow-hook plate relocation frame attaches, meaning no

Completely off topic, but I just wanted to share similar photos I took of my car on a slope leading up to some barn doors too :P

It says CELICA in giant letters on the side in the very first shot the car is in, lol :P

I have a dock, but I guess it’s the wrong one because it only has a single DVI port. Could I plug one in there, one into my miniDP port, and one into my HDMI port? I wish I could test all this first, lol.

It could make sense for other applications, though. For example, at work I only get 1 display provided. This is a cheap way for me to get my triple-monitor setup I want at work to be more productive, without breaking the bank...

...now I just need to find out if my work-issued Lenovo X1 Carbon Gen 3 can support three

Exactly. I avoided a rear-ending once by just remembering that the people in the car behind be were both about 90 years old, and when I came to a yield sign in the rain where there was oncoming traffic, my brain just automatically went (for whatever lucky reason), “I bet the old people behind me won’t expect me to

No argument here. You should ALWAYS scan the intersection you’re about to enter. Defensive driving is, in my opinion, equally as important. We are all only human. EVERYONE makes mistakes. To operate your vehicle under the assumption that everyone else will ALWAYS do what they’re supposed to do is just as dumb as

What about this???

It was supposed to be a funny way of making a point. It wasn’t supposed to be taken literally.

I feel bad for you if you really took that seriously.

Way to ruin what was meant to be a simple “upsides of modern braking systems” post, Mr. Debbie Downer. Even if we only recaptured 1% of braking energy, if you spread that across all the vehicles on the planet, we could basically power the sun for 10 zillion years.

I think that guy needs to learn how to drive in snow first... and it doesn’t look like those are winter tires either. I mean, yay for trying, but if you don’t know what you’re doing, it doesn’t really matter how hard you try, lol.
