The only reason it worked for Hartnell was that episodes in the sixties were many parts long and allowed them to split up the companions for their own substories (like the Keys of Marinus) or allow one to be incapacitated somehow for that week so the actor could take a break and not die from the year long production…

Maybe it’s the scripts, maybe it’s the direction - I’ve never seen her outside of the show, so perhaps under better circumstances, I might like her. But right now, she’s just someone cosplaying as the Doctor. She comes across as someone who is generically an amalgamation of what “The Doctor” should be.

I’d love to see a nice, long Pertwee or Baker sized run for one of modern doctors. This 3 and done stuff needs to die in a fire.

I loved the hell out of X-Wing and TIE Fighter - I put in more flight hours in those games as I have with Civ. So much wasted youth on my old 486 running win3.5!

Unfortunately terrible writing, a lead that’s about as compelling as a glass of room-temperature tap water, and completely rewriting the Doctor’s backstory has left this lifelong Doctor Who fan in the very strange position of going “Meh” to all of the above.
