I always thought a God of War-like game set in Egyptian mythology would have boundless potential. Not enough media really explores it outside of Age of Mythology and the numerous Cleopatra things.

The game is still vastly inferior to Civilization IV. The mechanics just fall apart at higher difficulties. The expansions improved Civ5, but sill obscured the fundamental flaws of the game:
