As a Mozambican national (where Yasuke is supposedly from), it was disappointing. I can see that this was made with a thoroughly Black American lens.
A big fat yes to all of this.
Just so happy to read that the main character is from my home country. That is all.
The action is incredibly generic, but there are some neat (if few) character moments. I would give it a 5 or 6 out of 10.
It was an enjoyable romp, but I felt that it would have been better served as a series or mini-series. The mythology seems really interesting, and could have had room to breathe.
