I definitely understand that! No cable growing up, either. I would go to a friend's house and want to stay up all night watching MTV (back when they played videos.) My experience was just in the 80s during high school. Bless that friend for never telling me to turn the damn tv off already.
It always struck me as a little but cruel that people with a lisp can’t pronounce the word lisp. I had one as a child and I never noticed until my school pulled me aside and put me in speech therapy, but I guess as an adult I’m glad they did. Except when I’m drunk. Then my lithp comes back...

I'm 43. I think it's that I've never followed her music. The only son I really know by her is the Christmas one. I never really listened much to pop radio. This sounds like I am/was a music snob and I'm certainly not. I just really don't know very much about Mariah Carey. Maybe I'll seek it out.
