In between this and 1917 not really sweeping like everyone expected it, this young upstart obscure South Korean director really fucked up AVC’s thinkpiece schedule for this month.

Maybe the writers will come around to the “Asian men are basically the white men of PoC” school of thought so we can squeeze in something

*obligatory “Us” was robbed despite kind of sucking post*

You’re right. That’s the best photo of you I’ve ever seen.

One day it will be changed to The Mickeys

Now playing

I remember being in 9th or 10th grade and receiving a promotional VHS tape for Donkey Kong Country... I want to say in the mail? I don’t actually know where it came from. Looks like someone put it online:

This very much seemed like syndicated TV from the 90s. I felt the ep. was very Xena like and a friend of mine came to the same conclusion independently. My brother told me that he got a Renegade vide particularly from the music.

I guess I’m with the minority on this. Not only was this the worst episode of the season so far, this was some of the worst television I’ve seen in a while.

Dat second fuck you flip switch by Boda, though.

This was a stand-alone Star Trek: TNG show for me.

I thought it was directed by Jessica Chastain.

Yeah, I got “Firefly” vibes from this one. Which, I love Firefly! That’s not necessarily a bad thing! But the first three episodes set a HIGH bar, and I felt like this one had an obvious dip in both storytelling and visual sophistication. Too many tropes, (agrarian villagers all dressed almost identically, like a TNG

Villagers reminded me of the dopes from that one Next Gen movie. You know what I'm talking about. This was a lot better, but having their costumes being all green was weird. At least the kids didn't say much. Wish there weren't so many humans in this one.

So maybe the face he made was him imitating the kids’ disgust? That way we both win.

I was very bored with this episode, it was just like The Magnificent Seven then at the end with the whole Incredible Hulk Tv series feel (the Madalorian and the child will have to keep moving as to not get caught and have several adventures along the way).

I feel like I would have liked this better if The Clone Wars didn’t already do the Star Wars 7 Samurai thing. The AT-ST sequence was amazing, Cara Dune was sick, but I found the villagers more grating than endearing, and the romance sub plot was so perfunctory it made me cringe.

While well directed this was the most inessential of the series so far. (Damning with faint praise I am not).

I found myself drifting off during this episode. Without the ongoing storyline it lacked interest for me. I agree with someone on here, it seemed hokey and didn't add anything to the show. Wasn't worth the payoff of the AT-ST.

Didn’t dig this one as much as I did the previous three. Felt like a placeholder. A solid one, but still a placeholder. The reveal of the chicken walker was fucking sick.

Love the Show but this episode not so much .

It’s always been “A-T-S-T” and “at-at,” everybody of my generation knows that this is the way!
