The whole lack of a unified Nintendo platform storefront (like PSN's, as clunky as that is - another story) is really a letdown, especially (!) given how awesome Nintendo's back catalog is. I think Jason Schreier has mentioned this before, but it bears repeating; maybe Big N will listen up. Any Nintendo software

So you prefer to have DRM? Haha

I've got blisters on my fingers! ;)

They're awful.
Deus Ex has been out for an incredibly long time and is available at less than the price stated for the longer rental options. Furthermore, you could physically rent the actual game disks for far lower than this.

You obviously lack shopping skills, New games go on sale for like $35-$40 like all the time.

You are kidding yourself by not knowing this. Deals happen all the time (whether stacking coupons, price matching, etc.). I don't mean the price drops from MSRP, I mean you can find deals (whether new or used) and get games half off.

PlayStation Now? More like PlayStation NOPE.

THINK BEFORE YOU POST.

Sony has added prices to the beta for their PlayStation Now streaming service, and though these are experimental numbers—it's a beta, after all—the current prices are insane.

Good thing I didn't ask you, because these prices are absolutely terrible..

I was worried this was all going to be one big bait and switch turning "backwards compatibility" into a monetization system instead. I'd be willing to pay a Netflix like subscription, but ideally they should have let you put your old game in the drive and start streaming it for free if it was supported. This is a

These are back-catalog games - they've already made their money.

this is just obscene. the fact that they're still calling it a "beta" and making testers pay to use it is offensive. the pricing scheme is offensive. it's all offensive. i understand that stress testing may be over and they're looking for a way to set up pricing tiers, but don't call it a fucking "beta" if you're a

I'm sure the prices will drop by a huge margin (especially now, after the shitstorm), but it's the fact that someone dense/stupid enough to think this was reasonable is in a position to make these decisions that really gets me.

Can you stream PSN games you already own for free? I had thought PS Now would be more about backward compatibility than high priced rentals.

This is going to utterly fail or blow up in their faces should these prices be close to actual prices upon release. Seriously, who would bother?

"Steam-like pricing structures will help drive down costs for gamers."

It's almost like THEY are actively trying to undo all the Goodwill they garnered over the past year

How in the hell can they possibly, by any stretch of the imagination, be dense enough to believe these prices are anywhere close to reasonable? Honestly, fire whoever did this Sony, for the good of the company.

Those prices are disgustingly awful. Way to step right in it, Sony.
