That was easily the worst defense of NYC I've ever heard. Maybe I'm just slow today and that was the point, but if all you've got are "food is good/cheap and there's stuff to do" I humbly submit that you're doing it wrong :)

Every first-aid suggestion I found on Google (an admittedly imperfect source) said to do several things to treat for a knee injury:

First off, it's a bit rude of me to call them incompetent (given that I'm admittedly not a doctor) that said, it looks like very little was done to reduce the pain, stabilize to reduce further tearing/damage, etc. It's possible they ran that test quickly and determined that he couldn't play but still...the long hobble…

Something's off here, methinks...either a) he's faking and really trying to sell it (to be clear, I really don't think it's this option) or b) they had some terrible medical facilities/staff available onsite: if he's got a knee injury why would you ask him to stand up? If you do make him stand up, why would you let…

Sadly, for lo I yearn for enlightenment, this is a colorblind person's worst nightmare. :D

The only issue I can see with this, as others have mentioned, is the blind spot. Sure I want to avoid sideways NYC rain, but I also want to avoid sideways busses, cabs, and ruthless city-dwellers.

I reject your premise that covers are useless. There are bozos with butterfingers out there who would be replacing their phones once every 10 minutes without them. My wife has a tendency to accidentally throw her iPhone once in a while. I giver her endless grief about it.
