On that front, I've never understood why, at least in limited quantities, developers haven't offered models of new consoles with the old hardware crammed in, as you put it. Not as the main model but as a specifically more expensive model for people who really value backwards compatibility.

Dammit I just lost the entire post I had...short version, AAA support has been close to nil (Assassins Creed IV on the Wii U, for example), FPS even less so, and so the catch-22 arrives of people not playing the games that arrive but that arguably being that the ones to come weren't any good. Could also be the MMO

Got out of the greys a long time ago.

I wouldn't call myself a pro wrestling fan by any stretch of the imagination...but I've watched this match in full, which is more than I can say for any other wrestling event. That's how iconic Ross' commentary has become.

Damn that's brilliant. Well done good sir.

There really are few more satisfying things in gaming. A solid home run bat hit is also quite gratifying.

I wouldn't say he does, though I wouldn't exactly expect many Seahawks fans to start calling Thomas a whiner/say his claims have no merit either.

If I'll take that one up, I'd say with almost 100% certainty it's because of the controller. Now, I own a Wii and love it...but for some reason, nobody's managed to make a truly great FPS for the system. I don't know if it's because the FPS guru companies didn't think the Wii had enough of an FPS install base

IT GETS THE PEOPLE GOING.

Funny...I seem to remember a bunch of loud Seahawks fans calling everyone else whiners for talking about the refs screwing them out of games against Seattle last year. It's amazing how quickly things change.

Indeed he is, I even rather enjoyed Noah. The Wrestler had the perfect combination of director and actor with Rourke's experiences and stellar cast around him...and also Springsteen's theme that should've won the Oscar for Best Original Song. I came pretty close, though I also felt physically ill after the extreme

Why thank you and likewise!

Always respected the guy and that just continues here.

I don't actually disagree with you; that's why I'd still say it's a great ending and certainly a powerful scene. It is entirely true to the character and the path he'd traveled, so I don't regret it in terms of feeling like it should've gone differently, just in the sense that I wish I didn't have to on a personal

That's all also entirely fair. I guess one other point there is we both seem to be thinking about storytelling in a film/tv sense. For a game, with a girl dying there doesn't seem to be as much relevant gameplay to fill in, though yes Left Behind was in many ways filled with sequences that would've normally been

Where did I or anyone else say they wanted a "Disney ending"? I thought The Last of Us had a brilliant ending (maybe you noticed the "might be my #1 PS3 game" comment at the end) precisely because of that moral dilemma, because he lied to her and she was wrestling with the ramifications of that inherently selfish yet

I mention this in another comment: a major theme of the game seems to be rationalization...how can you justify XYZ, what is "right" in this new world, etc. And I could rationalize most other deaths because they were directly looking for me and/or would attack if they saw me. The doctors...sure one rushes you but

I can understand the preference...I figure they didn't show that because, well, we already know that she dies and the biting scene was plenty dramatic in and of itself. Plus, considering how short the game was and that they'd played it as mini love/self-discovery story, transitioning from the mall to Riley - a

I'd say that the game wasn't really that kind of game with "decisions" from the onset, as you acknowledge, but I'm not exactly following which hard moment/cop out you're talking about.

Entirely understandable, and that's clearly where Joel was coming from as well, though "losing the chance to potential save the rest of the human race" does call that entire mission into question, at least for me. And Ellie wasn't exactly an entirely innocent "little girl" either, though nothing she did was
