DQ Monsters and Mario RPG caught me totally unawares and will likely be a must-buy since I absolutely adored them both and never thought I’d get another DQ Monsters game since it’s been so long since the last one. That Mario RPG remake looks SO GOOD like they copied the idealized version of the game from my memories.

I think they’re better this way. I love when fast food places offer a burger that is stretched with mushrooms. Sonic had one, iirc. Don’t know if they still do. More savory, more moist, just overall a better experience.

Thanks for this. I showed it to my 6-year-old daughter and she left me alone long enough to drink my coffee in peace.

I wish my waffle maker only had one setting. There’s really only one spot on the dial for mine that properly works to make waffles, but the dial is completely unmarked, so it’s hard to know what that spot is.

I’ve worked in the game industry, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone unless you’ve got a lot of passion for it. Take those same skills to an equivalent non-gaming business and you’ll make 2-3x more money.

Don’t forget about Cities: Skylines 2, coming out Oct. 24. I’m going to be pretty busy between Starfield and that one.

This might as well be him confirming that any theoretical Elder Scrolls 7 would take so long to make that most of the population won’t live long enough to see it.

Haha my daughter’s last day of school was Friday, and apart from one week in July that she really wanted to go to art camp, my summer plans are a shrug and a make it up as I go along. Planning since February lol

Out of my family growing up, I think our dad was the only one who *didn’t* play video games, and still doesn’t. My mom was always playing monopoly on Gameboy or SNES, and my sister and I (female) were always fighting over the console RPGs.

We’ve only got two and a half people in our household, and we tend to treat meat as a seasoning in our meals, so a single roast chicken is good for at least three meals, four if you consider leftover chicken soup another meal.

Title: Sweet quality of life upgrades!

I compost buckets of rosemary, mint, and oregano clippings every year, because they grow like weeds enough to try to spread out of my raised beds and I already have enough dried stuff from previous prunings to supply myself and all my friends for the rest of the year.

Yeah this is one of the big reasons why I almost never travel.

I’ve got a dwarf variety in my front yard (came with the house), I’ve tried to cut it down to the ground a few times but it keeps coming back. I’ll probably have to dig it up to get rid of it like I had with the roses. Thankfully, it seems to be sterile because I’ve never seen a single other plant pop up anywhere

It’s been getting worse every year. I had to cover my ears every time a song started when we saw Guardians of the Galaxy, because it was so loud it hurt my ears. And that movie had a lot of songs.

I was actually starting to wonder the opposite: should I make pancakes by adding extra water to blueberry muffin mix?

I was about to say, growing potatoes in grow bags is actually one of the better ways to grow them because it makes harvesting so much easier.

Why are lemons a linguistic shorthand for something unwanted? Lemons are great! When life gives me lemons, I’m happy because now I don’t have to go to the store to buy them.

Since I despise celery and refuse to allow it into my house, I prefer an alternative mix of the two: onions, carrots, and green bell pepper.

Books-wise, I’ve got so many things on my TBR list that my local library has that I haven’t even gotten to the ones I’d have to place holds on. I just walk in and grab whichever next one is available on the shelf. I pretty much only buy books these days if it’s like #3 in a series that I’m hooked on and the library
