I’m just unclear on why I or anyone else would want a large sculpture of an aetheryte shaped like an Xbox. If they’re giving me a functional Xbox anyway, I’d far rather have a similar-sized statue of an actual normal aetheryte.

Go old school and start with FF1 like I did as a kid, and make your way through the US releases from there. I think you’d be missing out on something without recognizing the weight of history in the references each game makes to the ones before. (*Especially* when you get to 14.)
Choice of server *mostly* doesn’t matter nowadays because you can travel freely between them, at least on US certain data centers are becoming known for certain things because people tend to just go to the one matching the content they want to do. From what I’ve heard online: Aether is for PvE, Primal is for PvP,…
The free trial has no subscription, is indefinite with hundreds of hours of content, and outside of an occasional raid, you never have to interact with other people at all. You can even run dungeons solo now. In fact, there are a lot of solo quest duties that you have to drop OUT of a group to run if you’re in one. I’m…

If the severance package was *good* you can be sure they’d be loudly saying so, to try to regain some goodwill in the face of this bad press.
I just wish the Starborn powers weren’t balanced around ranking them up through repeated NG+ playthroughs. You get all excited about getting magic powers and then you try them out once and they’re useless. “Orb of searing hot plasma” = tiny little pew pew.
Still holding out hope we’ll get Blitzballer as a physical ranged DPS in FFXIV at the next opportunity, alongside the minigame being added. It’s a unique enough weapon and style, different enough to coexist alongside the many many other jobs. We’re due for the next physical ranged in the next expansion, so... 8.0 in…
I could easily be one of the parents they’re talking about. We read this site too >_>
He’s old in anime years, where the average person is only around 16. I’m almost 40, so I’m expecting all the rest of my hair to suddenly turn gray any day now.
Many years ago when I worked for Namco-Bandai QA, you could fill out an order form to buy a small number of copies of pretty much any game at a steep discount. Somewhere around $5-20 depending on the game and how recently it came out. There was only one time they gave me a free copy of the game for working on it,…
This is my problem with a lot of Square remakes over the years. Like how the Chrono Trigger DS port killed Frog’s speech entirely.
I mean, if any game that uses a previously-existing IP can be considered a “sequel”, of course there are a lot of sequels.
I was hopeful at first, slogged through the story for a while, started to feel like it was picking up as I got further in, but then it went back to just flying to random places because they told me to and wandering around on featureless dirt.
I’m a bit taken aback by all the hate, honestly. I loved having a voiced protagonist in my 500+ hours of FO4, and was a little sad that they went backwards on this. I’m not a fan of conversations where one person is speaking out loud and the other is just some text I’m reading off a screen.
Yeah, I would have preferred that they stop after saying “this is the first expansion in a three part story” and leave us to speculate what the other two will be about.
Ugh. I haven’t gone through with changing my legal name because it's a pain, but anyone who knows me well is aware I hate my legal name and don’t want to look at it any more often than I have to. This would annoy me to no end.
We’ve gone full circle, and our pan-cakes are now just cake again!
Right now, I own a stainless steel skillet and a big stock pot, both from IKEA. They’ve served me pretty well for their specific uses.
As a household with 2 adults and one young child, I almost *never* use my 9x13 casserole dish. Most of the time, the one that’s the right size for us is the 8x8.
