“It’s uh....very easy to upgrade the 3ds storage. SD cards are cheap, and all you need is a free tool to format the card to FAT32 if it’s larger than 32GB.”

For 3DS though? I’m not so sure. Any other console or PC title and I’d agree with you, but Nintendo seem to work super hard to create awful digital stores and hardware with miniscule amounts of storage, convincing as many of their fans as possible to stick to physical games.
It’s worse than that. You know how every video has a still image to advertise it? People are taking screenshots of key plot events and boss fights and using them as video stills. You don’t have to click a link, you just have to take one unlucky glance at your suggested videos pane =(
Yep, it’s mainly for the chat in Twitch though. I’ve always disabled it as soon as I start watching a stream ever since I had a Game of Thrones episode spoiled there, but I’m still not going to risk the half second it takes me to hide the chat =S
It’s weird having to blacklist sites like Twitter, Twitch, and Youtube for a whole week. I guess the only silver lining here is seeing how huge a cultural impact FFXV is having across the web already. Looks like anticipation for the game is as high as Square needs it to be.
Yep, I completely agree. It’s especially frustrating when games like Deus Ex introduce what I can only describe as “conversation boss battles”, where there’s a whole lot of back and forth involved in talking your way to more peaceful resolutions, rather than TES/Fallout’s traditional speech skill check, or Mass…
I think the answer isn’t to make non-violent games, but to make non-violent gameplay systems within traditionally violent games.
Keep in mind that was just a concept. If they scrapped the game, chances are high that the gameplay just wasn’t fun, and the team just couldn’t pull it off for whatever reason.
Wow, opening paragraph written like an internet commenter.
Major misconception, and I’m not sure what drives people like you to spread it. Ignorance or jealousy? Even on Oldrim I balanced my ENB profile to run at an almost locked 60fps, with drops to 50fps in intense locations. With Skyrim SE’s performance boosts it’s even easier this time around to lock at 60fps.
If you really think she’s saying all dev teams should become diverse specifically so all games can stop being action games, then there’s no point having this conversation. You’re defending a stagnant industry with knee-jerk reactions and pretending that exploring new directions means abandoning everything that works.…
“And there’s nothing wrong with diversity in a build-team, either. But if you’re hiring -specifically- to show off how “diverse” you are, and the people don’t have the slightest idea of how video games work, then you’re just making it even worse because now you’ll be that “diverse team that only makes shitty games.”
You’re part of the problem and you don’t even realize it.
Ahhh! What are Square doing!? I mean, they must KNOW the game is a buggy mess still, right? And they must also know that putting out a demo of the “final game” would expose these bugs to the entire world in the two weeks leading up to launch.
They switched to an in-house engine for Dishonored 2 to save on licensing fees. The original was built with Unreal Engine 3.
That is one heck of a silver lining. If that doesn’t highlight how bad this outcome is, I don’t know what will...
Of course, no problem at all =)
“They way you can see what a big douche bag you’ve been to a mod author. It’s your kind of “know it all attitude” of people who don’t even make mods and telling us how to do things that make mod authors just say “screw it” because you totally aren’t worth it.”
YOU’RE the one saying a 1024 texture is still a 4096 texture, not me. Of course you’re free to use that tool to resize your 4k textures down to 2k or 1k textures. That means they aren’t 4k textures any more though. How is this difficult to follow?
