Because that is patently dumb.
Because that is patently dumb.
Non urban areas in your... town? =P Sad state of affairs when so many people assume sub-urban is rural.
Because that’s how they advertised it? In the trailers people go into the wilderness looking for a charizard. In reality you slap down a lure and incense and wait for the charizard to come to you. Secondly, the pokestops and gyms courtesy of ingress players aren’t my issue. I found a 4th century Roman temple ruin that…
Fast tapping in battles is a REALLY bad idea. It can lead to the 1HP glitch, where the enemy Pokemon never dies. It was an issue in beta and it still hasn’t been resolved, but the cause is the player trying to tap faster than the game’s animations can keep up. Tapping in time with the attacks is a safe way to avoid it.
I don’t know, I still love the classic games but I adore Go as well (when it works). Haven’t had this much fun with a Pokemon game since the original. But then I never expected this to be a traditional Pokemon game on mobiles. I always saw it as more of a sequel to Pokemon Snap than anything else, and I love walking…
Yeah, and as an ecologist who dedicates his career to the study of wildlife and trying to mitigate mankind’s damage to it, that thought really depresses me.
Yeesh. I can’t even watch Brooklyn Nine Nine because of the awful camera. In a game? No thanks.
That’s what worries me as well. Less than half a year before people remember they were salivating over a game that is essentially one massive escort quest with a deliberately low-intelligence companion...
And can someone explain why a wall even matters when everyone has spaceships that regularly fly through Earth’s atmosphere to drop off new troops? O.o
This is exactly the entitled attitude that is convincing some mod creators not to bother with consoles. Sadly that same feeling of entitlement is driving the content theft we're seeing, so mod authors can't win either way. They have to deal with dicks one way or the other =(
Oh shit, with 3D printers that’s not such a crazy idea. FigurePrints already make crazy money by 3D printing and selling WoW characters.
O.o Dude, I mean you can adopt children in the game (Skyrim). Knowing they can die during bandit raids and dragon attacks makes the encounters far more threatening. You know your character will survive either way, but you have to fight hard to make sure everyone else survives.
First of all, I’m a PC gamer. 2GB is not a huge limitation. The vast majority of mods weight in at less than 100MB. Your Skyrim mod folder will have been large because of all the texture mods you’re likely to use (including the HD DLC) which console users won’t be able to make use of anyway. Most of their mods will be…
That one is all down to implementation though. I installed the Skyrim version because it meant children could be killed during dragon and bandit attacks. Made me value my adopted kids much more. In the same way I valued and protected Meeko so much (a dog companion that could be killed if you didn’t look out for him).…
Regarding new IP reporting (or even existing, like Kotaku’s annual Assassin’s Creed leaks) have you considered the idea of reporting that something exists, but without leaking screenshots/video? As an example, I’m incredibly excited about an Ancient Egypt setting for Assassin’s Creed, and news of that being in…
How about, and brace yourselves because this might be a bit of radical thinking, video games just embrace being video games and stop trying to validate themselves by becoming films.
Well, I’m 29, played the original games when they were released, and I love this concept. It’s exactly what I wanted from a mobile game - more akin to Pokemon Snap on the N64. It’s about exploration and collecting, two of the core components of the series, where the parts of the “game” that require using a phone are…
“Have an older model? You can still play the latest games, but they will run at a slightly reduced resolution compared to the latest console.”
I do game on my PC, almost exclusively =) I have a PS4 in the living room, but that’s mainly for iPlayer and 4OD, and DVDs/Blu Rays. It’s not me I’m worried about, but the wider gaming world.
