I can't believe this is even being compared to the Tomb Raider issue. A few useless items, and a multi-platform franchise being released on just one platform , are completely different issues. I really wish they would stop this crap and let everyone enjoy the same content, always.

That may be a true, but having better equipment for the first few hours of a game that will be played for years, is pretty irrelevant.

Decided to give Far Cry 3 and The Witcher 2 a try, in anticipation of the sequels. Also slowly working on Bravely Default and Pokemon Y. Still have a fair amount of backlog as well as a couple MMO's I play. I'm kind of appreciating the down time of new releases.

I was thinking the same thing, second episode this season I've heard that about. If by slow they mean not action packed, sure. But there were major story events and important character moments at every turn in this episode.
