They actually built these at the Edison Assembly Plant (my old man used to work there) back in the late 1990s or 2000s. They had them in the parking lot, but I’m guessing they where pre-production run or something, I don’t recall the old ranger being built in South America?

The US will protect US based manufacturers from the Chinese price dumping vehicles here. Keeping an industrial base is far more important than cheap cars. Not to mention there really isn’t any cheap cars done by anyone because they don’t make profit on them.

The average cost of a new car is something like 45K the last

So it finally showed up this weekend....

Hey I can’t help it if I can’t spell my nickname properly or consistently...plus ever think the name might have been taken already?!

Hey Lawrence-Drop me a line-I’d like share an update with you.

The rumor for the “Warthog” Bronco is the Aviators PHEV 3L Ecoboost.

Actually they designed their own BEV tech for the 2023 BEV F-150 and Transit and made a video of a BEV F-150 towing a train.

Rivian’s skateboard was going to be used on a range topping Lincoln CUV, after COVID hit and now the economic fall out from it. I don’t think a 100K+ CUV would be a good idea in the next few

This is more or less a shot across UNIFORs bow (Canada’s Automotive union) since its a contract year with them. I wouldn’t expect the Edge to go away, outside of it moving to a new platform.

The original idea was it might move to a shortened Explorer platform, but given the current conditions and short term to mid

Ford has a hybrid system coming with the 2021 F-150 and should have an BEV F-150 with in 2-3 years, if that. The issue is that for the most part, Hybrid systems aren’t designed for “work” which alot of people who have pickups, actually do, not your typical mall cruisers you see out there.

Tesla has been surviving on

They have been rental fleet specials for the past few years, because Nissan wanted to grow market share in the US at any cost.

You earned your star lol

Some else pointed out that 6/9/20 is the start of the NAIAS. It’s also still spring time too, since summer doesn’t start til 6/21/20. Ford said they would show it off next spring.

I wouldn’t say Ford is behind with an electric F-150 due in the next year or two and them using the Rivian skateboard for a future product and being on the board of investors.

Uh for Crowdfunding-it started at $1 dollar at Fig.com

There answer for it too:

That’s the best looking fascia I’ve seen on a Chevy in a really long time. It looks like a cross between a Subaru and a Tesla 3.

In the grand scheme of things, the next recession won’t be as bad as what happened in 2007-08. They have happened like clockwork every ten years or so for the past 75 years or so. I’m almost 45, so let’s see-I’m remember 1982, 1989, 2000 dotcom bust and 2007. 1982 and 2007 were the worst-I remember my dad being out

Because the vast majority of people haven’t seen the photos above and to create buzz...Jalopnic is still reporting on it...even though we know what it looks like.

If volumes were successful, Ford was planning to bring it in house
