Subway doesn’t owe a duty to an employee’s wife. MAYBE in the case of occupational exposures, but that’s about it. I’m not sure why people are advocating that employers get more involved in the private lives of employees, which is behavior that this suit effectively encourages.

You mean 305 isn’t there yet? :-O

+1 for ‘scattered, smothered, and covered’

If this was an 86, where they only made 200 of the Aerocoupes for NASCAR, it would be worth that. But from the factory the only thing good about this car was its looks. A clean factory SS is in the 6-9K range these days. I’d say this Aerocoupe worth 12K on a good day, while drunk after watching Days of Thunder.

Probably the best remaining example of its type but it really only makes sense for someone who rolled out of the double wide to head down to the Piggly Wiggly to play the lotto using their favorite Earnhardt and Waltrip car numbers and hit the jackpot. G-bodies of this era can be fun but only when the power unit

I don’t think I needed to see that.

Funny story: I made a craigslist post looking for a roommate back in college and the first response was a person offering to send a WHOLE YEAR’S WORTH OF RENT ($5000 in form of counterfeit money order of course) since that was “all he could do” and to keep $200 for ourselves, but wire back $4,400. Not everyone’s a good TypeR.

That’s absurd. It’s not impossible to build a car that both performs well and is capable of driving around town.

I see a white Lambo I want to burn it black

Soft top Jeep Wranglers count as convertibles, right? This didn’t happen while I was driving, but it did make driving around a bit unpleasant at times...

a late summer night cruising in my 1996 Mustang GT convertible. top down and the moon is bright. The air is warm. I’m on Jefferson Ave. as it runs along the lake just outside of Detroit. You know those mayflies that show up for a day or so in the summer?

Not my story, technically, but my mother once had a snake fall out of a tree into her convertible Mustang as she was driving underneath it.

Beef that Taco Bell sources is fresher, safer than beef that used to be made in store. You can make burgers out of it. It’s on the lean side at about 12% fat. I prefer 80% lean for a great burger.

Back in the late ‘80s (and a miserable way to start my work history), Taco Bell didn’t ship everything pre-made.

The lab measurement came back at 36% beef. It is mostly not beef.

“Those offers don’t actually exist.”

so why dont we go in to these dealerships and just play along. drive a hard bargain, get all the details, negotiate for half a day and then when it comes to signing on the dotted line just say, ‘ya know .... i think i’ve changed my mind.’ and just walk out.

I received a flyer from a Toyota dealership in 2001 stating the car I currently owned was eligible for “full MSRP trade-in value up to (just slightly more than I had paid for it)” if I bought a new Toyota. I brought my, then, less than a year old car in thinking “What the hell, I hate the way Toyotas look, but they
