I’m in agreement with you on a Desktop PC. I have a 5 year old Core i7 based PC with SSDs and 24GB of RAM. It has been a workhorse that gets the job done and handles Windows 10 just a well as it handled Windows 7. It can even handle multiple virtual machines.
