But a gage block doesn’t actually measure anything. Another tool is needed to compare the gage block to whatever it is you want to know the size of. The second meaning of gauge given doesn’t cover it. That’s talking about wire/sheet metal size or shotgun bore size, that type of thing. In that case, gauge is the unit

It looks like a Kia Soul with a lift kit and beefy tires.

It’s been a few since I’ve heard much about Detroit, but weren’t they at one point basically giving houses and property away? Seems like it might not be too terribly expensive to find an empty commercial building to rent.

I’d recommend against them buying a car. Sounds like they don’t need a car on a regular basis, just want one for occasional outings.

I was thinking more along the lines of the “second round friend” is the person at the bar you strike up a conversation with when you’re on your second round while drinking alone.

Second Round Friend” is the best band I’ve ever heard!

What she has to say may not necessarily be illegal, or statute of limitations may have expired. That doesn’t mean it can’t be damaging to him. Maybe she reveals that he’s suffered from innumerable STD’s his entire life because he’s fucked everything with 2 legs (female, male, human or animal) that he can. Maybe she

I think it is much more likely that she is the minor who was sexually assaulted.

I think that you do not know what you are talking about.

Not a ton more useful than an Escape, but way less useful than an Explorer.

You nailed me exactly. Except the wagon bit. I need to tow a 2500 lb camper. My Edge does that easily, a wagon wouldn’t.

When we were in high school my brother had an diesel ‘81 VW Rabbit with low compression on at least one cylinder. Once started it’d run fine, but starting it, especially after sitting all night, was an ordeal. Eventually we resorted to not bother trying to use the starter, but simply bump starting it out of the

I had to drive my VW like that once when the clutch cable broke. Put it in first, ignition on, foot on the gas. Crank and when it fires up, away you go. Rev match for shifts. When stopping, slip it into neutral. Once stopped, shut off the engine, put it in first and you’re ready to go again.

This. Even auto headlights don’t always come on when they should. Mine don’t activate during rain or snow as it can still be too bright. I will admit to more than once driving around without them on when they should be on become I’ve become complacent since 99% of the time the car does the work for me. I’ve thought

No, I didn’t say it was dumb, I offered my opinion as to why they aren’t common. When deciding which to buy, most consumers won’t give the opening option on the back of 3 similar SUV’s a second thought +A roll down adds cost, complexity, and weight = There is no motivation for a manufacturer to offer it.

Nobody drives around with their windows down anymore. A roll down adds complexity, cost, and weight... There’s also the issue that it seems most modern cars sound like there is a helicopter hovering right above you if you drive more than 20 mph with the windows down. Maybe an open rear window would help that?

I need a Bill Watterson pissing on a Calvin pissing on a _____ sticker. j/k

Just so you know, I was with you right up until you started claiming your intellectual superiority. Your original post was spot on as to why these stickers are crap. You expressed it in a way in which I could never hope to vocalize. However, in the future, practice a little humility my friend.

If you were to ask 1000 people what the “confederate flag” looks like, 999 of them would describe the battle flag of the confederacy. If you showed the battle flag to 1000 more people, 999 of them would tell you it is the confederate flag. Regardless of whether it is or isn’t the official flag of the confederacy, it

There is no place for confederate flags ANYWHERE except a museum.
