Game is excellent, actually.
Game is excellent, actually.
Agreed with above. The only people calling this a bad game are the ones who haven't played it, dislike SE already, or are too impatient and probably wouldn't play longer than a week anyway.
Actually, the game is very good.
I've been unforgiving with regards to criticizing the botched launch, but I do not criticize the game itself. It is, thus far, the best MMO I have ever played, and one hell of a game in general.
This game is awesome. I usually don't find much to like in MMOs, but this is a definite exception.
Definitely. The current article leaves the reader who just strolls by with the wrong impression.
Very much agreed.
When you're pulling in $15 a month from every player, and the game's been out for like 10 years...
"Why do MMO's like to launch with too few servers than too many?"
This game is absolutely worth owning and playing. They sadly weren't prepared for as many players as they got, but that will be all over soon.
This is a game MMORPG fans should play. They just can't.
Final Fantasy XI was very successful in both East and West markets. It is still getting expansions to this year (10 years after launch).
XI was the most profitable entry in the Final Fantasy series
Didn't expect the first week of a AAA franchise MMO to go smoothly as considering they had low expectations from the NA/EU markets after their poor interests in the original version.
Really, this is being blown way out of proportion. Server issues happen, it's a staple of MMO launches. And honestly, I know way, way more people getting on just fine (maybe after a try or two) than I know not getting in at this point. Some people are playing near constantly, because the game is that fun. And the…
Why did you not cover YoshiP's statement as to why this happened? He admitted his estimates were very conservative due to 1.0's failure. The current success ARR is having is overwhelming. Hopefully they finally fixing it on Wednesday.
There is a queue, but its only goes up to like 300, so chances are the queue is almost always full.
Yet another click-bait article by Kotaku. You got me.... Maybe one of these days I'll learn not to click on sensationalistic article titles.
Umm, they already made a statement on this. They are giving 7 days of gametime free to everyone. They bought more servers and the upgrades should be done on Wednesday.
No, It just needs the server capacity upgraded. That's literally the only problem, the game is a lot of fun.
