Agreed. In fact I loved the design of everything Mazda made from this era. And no one had better styled rear ends.

I am more partial to its successor
if you want to go that new, I’ll still take a 929
The Porsche 996, while not the fan favorite is a great all around car. Quick, nice, fun. Fix the IMS issue and it’ll run forever.
Lincoln finally brought us a new Continental concept last year, and we spent a fair amount of Jalopnik’s expense…
Well, if you read Benzworld.org you will find that many belong to younger people and most have learned the very extensive procedures to maintain them from the complicated ADS (pneumatic) suspension to working on that cramped V12 (where SOP to get to just about anything is to remove the intake manifold)
Petrol literally means gas, it’s just another word for it. The average price for premium gas in the UK right now is equivalent to ~6.35/US gal. Last time I went, it was way, way over that.
I’m game.
493 Horsepower. 79k miles. $9500. And the seats also massage your back.
2006 Cadillac STS-V. 4.4L super charged north-star V8 putting out 440hp/430lb-ft, 6spd auto, 4.6 seconds to 60. When Car & driver tested it in 2006 is beat the CLS55 AMG, but could not beat the M5. It is 1 owner, elderly driven. All yours for $18,500.
I feel like a used Jaaag could be the answer to most of these challenges. Here’s a rather nice one, red 2002 XKR, lovely beige/cream interior, plastered in wood and divorce papers. And, of course, a 4.2L Supercharged V8.
E39 M5 that I bought online w/o seeing from across the country and had shipped. Just kidding, that car is f’in awesome. Just got back from a milk run joy ride.
Mark VIII looked better before the facelift tho
Ugg, the whole Prowler thing again.
5.7 seconds on a car from 2000 is...bad? I want whatever you people are smoking.
Even with standard doors, the Mark VIII was much cooler than any Tesla will ever be.
Assuming the “date-ee,” as it were, knew anything about cars, this would be an easy challenge. Car people look for badges. They’ll see an “M” or pick out the “AMG” on the trunk lid. They would know what a kompressor model is. Personally, lord knows I just want somebody who will see my V12 badges without them being…
1990 Pontiac Trans Sport. It’s looked like it fell off the Walt Disney World monorail, and the 13-year-old me wanted one so badly!
