I’m pretty sure he doesn’t believe that, and he will throw a huge tantrum (partly on Twitter, partly off) if he isn’t actually allowed to keep the gifts. After all, he is keeping all of the extra profits his businesses are making while he is in office. Why should this be any different?

Basically, he can’t accept them personally, they are accepted by the US Gov’t and he can display them in his Presidential Library or the White House, but they are not his. But then rules don’t pertain to him so he will find some way of parting them from the Gov’t.

Yep the whole place will just be statues and paintings of him flanking that damned electoral college map he loves so much. I hope that remains his only accomplishment.
