I genuinely thought you were joking here. Are you serious? Or is this just a "ha ha, someone always tries to defend the assholes" thing?

My friend, who is legit Celiac, loves the "gluten-free" idiots. Why? It is because of them that the stores are now stocked with gluten-free aisles, and restaurants are now making special gluten-free dishes.
She deserves scorn/ ridicule because she made a scene and insisted that the (non existent) bread rolls were previously provided to her for FREE. Unless the restaurant regularly gives away free platters of tempura (seems doubtful?) her mistake wasn't just seeing tempura on someone's table and mistaking it for bread.
I'd be sympathetic if she had pointed at another patron's table and asked for bread rolls. The woman in this story claimed she'd eaten them before, though, and her friends said the only reason they'd come was for the "free bread." Since they got a comped appetizer that time around too, I'm actually inclined to…
:/ come on bb, the lady was a buttface. thus, the laughery.
Because she was an ass about it. She was rude to the server as were her friends. If she'd been polite then fair enough it would be mean to laugh, but she wasn't.
No one is treated with less respect, or less regard for their legally entrenched rights as workers, than retail clothing employees. Want a 4 hr shift at midnight, folding clothes for minimum wage? No? Well, then, you must not have the sort of go-getter attitude we're looking for at Nine Dollar Rayon Sarong Emporium.
Let's be honest here: retail labor isn't exactly hard to come by in these situations. Headhunting is, for better or for worse, for people with relatively more rare skills.
You shouldn't make fun of those commenters. They might come from somewhere that doesn't value common sense.
And invite their parents.
They really should be expelled. Guys who think drugging and raping people is funny should not have access to the drugs that dentists so commonly use to numb pain or make people unconscious.
I would have told the gluten lady that I couldn't bring her a veggie dog with a clear conscience knowing that she was 'very alergic' to gluten.
As someone who just spent close to $11,000 to save my young dog's life (she's healthy and happy and should live a good long life now), I can't really second guess anybody who tries to save their pet from unnecessary suffering and death, regardless of the cost.
As somebody who has had many fish over the years, I'm kind…
Oh my GOD here in my part of Texas there was some poor woman who worked a gas station and I guess she was just so ridiculously hot that literally every week 2-3 guys would post Missed Connections ads about her. Meanwhile, she's happily married with a kid, right? But she's CONSTANTLY bombarded with these emails from…
They can, but they shouldn't have to. Do you really think anybody showed up at 3:00am on December 21st? Retail workers have family too.
I'm sure all the servers would love to walk out on their shitty jobs leaving you no one to boss around when you celebrate your promotion at your non-shitty jobs. Because they'll all be senior managers and vice presidents and shit, and there won't be anyone left to bus your table or bring you your stupid overcooked…
I just want to share the following post that a friend of mine posted on FB yesterday, to provide a counterpoint to this heartless, tone-deaf, damaging woman (I've changed names b/c it's not up to me to identify anyone):
No, Carla, if "God doesn't make mistakes," that means that God didn't make a mistake about Leelah. She was a young woman as God wanted her to be, and you were too bigoted to see that and give her the support she needed.
Nah - heartless is driving your child to suicide because you refuse to accept them for who they are. It's not heartless to call someone out on that.
perfect anonymous moment. I had to get some food after the 7 pm Xmas church service that I was dragged to by the gf. We went to two diners before we happened upon the 3rd one. Xmas eve and whatnot, I was happy to leave a hundred dollar tip on a forty dollar tab.
