The median household income in the US for FY 2021 is $79,900. The median is the middle of the range, which makes roughly $80k/year the literal middle class.

If they took him to court to garnish his wages, the questions about “where did you get the money to pay for all this stuff” would have cropped up instantly.

Laws don’t apply to legislators. Their vehicles will be free of any of these kinds of things.

I don’t wonder at all, myself. Real curious to see what the proportions are, though.

The header image is... interesting, and makes me wonder how much force/kinetic energy/explosives an ejector seat would have to have to invert an entire Aston on its activation.

Once again they get it right, but at the same time they get it so, so wrong.

The red S-10. It squeaks past the Ranger because the owner put rally (or rally-style?) wheels on it, and whenever I see those on a manufacturer-correct but atypical vehicle, it almost always indicates the vehicle is well maintained. Correlative, no doubt, but weirdly consistent, in my experience.

On the state level, no. On local levels, it depends on the locale, but it can, particularly in the larger cities--until, of course, the state gets wind of it and thanks to their “no government overreach” policy and their noted adherence to cognitive consistency, destroys it.

To top it off, it sports the best red in the mainstream industry.

The one thing I wish more people knew about cars isn’t about the cars at all, it’s about physics. As vehicles become bigger, heavier, more powerful, and “safer,” more and more “drivers” have beome more confident/less careful about operating their vehicles at margins of error that are frankly insane.

I don’t want it at all. I don’t get to decide what the other side does, however, and to date they have proven over and over they are willing to assault and kill their perceived “enemies.” And they will not stop until they are stopped. Negotiation doesn’t work, because they don’t listen and even if they did, they don’t

You are asking for another civil war. Straight up. Prove me wrong.

From Austin it takes less than two and a half hours to be at the border. Mexico’s closer to the vast majority of TX population centers than Louisiana is.

Given how far to the right the Overton window has shifted, today’s Republicans would call Reagan a radical leftist.

Just need to keep cans of paint and shotguns handy and we’ll be fine.

Actually winced and my eye twitched on that one. Well played.

Excellent. Thank you very much for the info.

Not at all. The lights are just an indicator. They don’t prevent you from loading it up until it scrapes.

Nothing built after 2018 in the US, that’s for certain. Anything with a screen in the dashboard is automatically disqualified. Do they even sell vehicles in the US with manual transmissions any more, or non-fob keys, or hydraulic steering, or manual windows and locks? Honest question because I don’t know.

I’d just like to express my appreciation for the way y’all crop photos of Governor Hot Wheels every time you post stories about this pinch-faced can’t-dodge-a-tree dipshit. It amuses me every single time.

Thank you.
