To get an LTC in TX, you previously had to take a class (6-8 hours), take a test, do a very basic shooting-competency drill, get fingerprinted, and do a little paperwork for the state; basically, where do you live, do you still have the weapon, have to renew it periodically, like…

On the other hand, this will give them even more license to kill anyone they like any time they like. “I thought they had a gun” now becomes a defensible statement in literally every single interaction they have with anyone, ever.

Liz Cheney would be a valid conservative voice. Or maybe Mittens. In a pinch, Manchin. Santorum is a ride-or-die white supremacist, as is upwards of 90% of anyone with an (R) as their party selection.

I really appreciate the courage and convinction exhibited by the caucus for going on the record with their voting for or against her demotion. Of course, since it’s a voice vote, there’s no record on who voted for what, is there.

Conservatives aren’t funny because comedy depends on a certain amount of empathy to be effective. It’s really as simple as that.

Or they could be like me, someone who—knowing what the video contained—refused to watch it. I have seen stills of it, and have read descriptions and summaries of it, and I am aware of roughly what is in it, but I have never actually watched it.

If they’re on Griddy, I have zero sympathy for them. You sign up for an ARM thinking “oh, yeah, the rates’ll always be this low, hooray cheap mortgage,” the rates spike, you lose your house. That’s what you signed up for.

If this were the kind of vehicle I had been eyeballing to make a weird, very-one-off project from, this would be NP all day long. Body’s in pretty good shape, it’d be moderately straightforward to engine/transmission swap, the interior’s a mess but, again, replacement is pretty straightforward.

Having the company be named “Felcher” was just the icing on the cake, really.
