Ohhh, snap. You just lawyered the original poster. Love it.

I love you and I love this article. I really don't care who eats gluten or not and why. What bothers me is that I have to hear constant, boring diatribes (often tinged with condescension) about how gluten-free has, like, totally changed someone's life. "I feel sooo light now"! "I can't imagine putting that garbage in…
That's an interesting point about not liking something but being able to admit it's good. I feel that way about 30 Rock. I can look at it and think, "Ok, female-driven, smart writing, fresh characters, talented comedians... Why can't I like this shizz?!". I think you're also correct in saying we can't always account…
Word. I tried so hard! But Liz never worked for me and I always found the plots too, I don't know, far-fetched?
You raise some valid points. While I agree that there is always a degree of subjectivity in critiquing art, I still think there are more "scientific" (for lack of a better word) ways of talking about any given work. Otherwise the entire philosophy of aesthetics is rendered pointless.
Love this. Also, to all the people saying, "Yeah, but Girls isn't funny"... You can't really argue a preference for one kind of comedy over another simply based on what you like.
I'm happy for them.
What is going on in NYC? Seriously. The "Stop and Frisk" program is one of the most egregious violations of human rights in America. It boggles the mind that this program is allowed to exist in a supposedly free country.
Is Sebastian Taylor Thomaz a veiled 80's reference? All I can think of is "Home Improvement" meets "Never Ending Story".
Questions: Isn't the term "baby mama" considered somewhat derogatory? Whenever I hear the term "baby daddy", it always seems to connote a man who is less than an ideal father - a guy who made the kid and then stopped participating in a meaningful way. Is it the same for "baby mama"? Is she considered to be less than…
Thanks to Netflix, so far I've done:
The dude behind the Catfish movie/TV show must have sold his soul to the devil or something. You can't buy publicity like this.
That is amazing. I was always so distracted by his nose touching that for years I failed to notice that Pink is hitting his belt buckle pipe in that scene. Ha!
OMG, I always cringe during this exact moment of the movie. Mitch, you are sooooo awkward!!!
OMG, Claire Danes please fire your makeup artist! Another great gown brought down by weird lip/eyeshadow choices. :(
I know! The horrendous red carpet interviews were on, now NOTHING. Except Debbie Travis, who is the absolute worst. :(
"Epic tanties"! LOL. I'll carry this phrase with me forever more.
That's interesting to hear. I don't know much about her background, but I assumed since her parents are artists and her friends are artists that she had some hookups. I genuinely like the show a lot and I think it's showing a side of 20-something girls that we haven't seen on TV.
Hahahaha. You just made my day.
I'm all for differing opinions, I just think that when you look at the sheer volume of unbridled hate against Dunham and this show it seems like a disproportionate reaction. There are lots of shows that are unfunny, pretentious, etc. but this one in particular seems to get so much negative press that other shows with…
