I agree with everything you are saying. I maintain my previous statement that most of the people hating on her are struggling writers who resent how she used her Hollywood connections to get her own show (which is how Hollywood works, btw). I don't understand why we can't celebrate a normal-looking young woman

Yes! It would make a good lesson in narrative perspective for my English class. You know, if it were at all appropriate to discuss sexy moms in class.

How is that her sister's fault? Gentrification happens. Especially in the biggest metropolitan area in the country. Yeah it sucks, but are you really saying we should hate on everyone who lives there?

OMG! Just urban dictionary-ed "days". LOL. Thanks for the heads up!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Why is Adele sooooo much more endearing on stage than Anne Hathaway? Like, shouldn't the actor's speech kick the ass of the singer's speech? Adele was a genuine delight, while Anne seemed so pretentious up there. :(

I totally agree!

Thank you so much for such a thoughtful response. I agree with all of your points. I also think that kids "live up to their names". And, hey, if she hates it she can always change it when she turns 18. :)

Thanks! I need some real talk on this.

Thanks! I'm hoping most people would get it because of her. Nice to hear an objective opinion.

Since we are discussing names and spellings....

I never had trouble cancelling my account (maybe the rules are different in Canada?), but I was super disappointed with Proactiv. I had pretty bad acne as a teen and I would have given anything to fix it. I remember crying the day the Proactiv arrived. It was very expensive but my parents were willing to pay for it to

Because the ministry standard is 50% to pass. What that 50% amounts to depends on the grade and level of the course. Teachers use their professional development to decide when students are ready to move on and when they truly need to repeat an entire course, which has academic and personal consequences for the

Well, I actually teach English. I think math is different. You write a lot more essays/summaries/journals in English which are by their nature subjective to mark. Still, I would never pass a student if I believed they did not possess the necessary skills. I'm not doing that kid any favours if he/she truly is not ready
