Tell that to the Muslim Caliphate, North Korea, China, and Putin. People had the same opinions after WW1. In the 30's we let people like Hitler, Stalin, and Mussolini be because they had nothing to do with us. It didn't affect us. Then look what happened.

We are in the 30's of the new generation right now. The makings

Of course that is the same pose that every single blonde in a bikini uses in the millions of instagram selfies...

Some of my closest friends are crazy lefties. I don't have a problem with it at all.

This must be a Gawker story because I am pretty shocked at the commenting.

I think it has been too long since there was a war that truly threatened the safety of the US because the hatred of the military I am seeing here is disgusting.

Keep hating military personnel and see what happens when we actually need them.

Except the Hellcat Charger that does it in 2.90 sec...

He definitely missed an opportunity there. Maybe in future interviews he can drop that one. HE is already my Idol. If he did that? dang.

I remember seeing the inflatable structure tech when NASA was working on it back in the 90's it is something like 5-7 layers with 2 of them as woven kevlar to withstand micrometeor strikes.

NASA stopped research on it when TransHab was cancelled and they sold the tech to Bigelow. Lots of cool info if you look up

The Harrier is also a huge cost to operate. But if you can afford to spend $6,000,000 on a plane and another couple million to rebuild it, you can probably afford the cost of running it. A guy like Elon Musk could definitely afford it and he is certainly not the richest guy on the planet.

There are a lot of them in museums. I know there are a lot of them in the airplane graveyard out in Arizona or New Mexico. I think that satellites have replaced most levels of surveillance and have made it so the SR-71's huge cost to operate it aren't justified anymore. I don't think any have been destroyed though.

Did you really cry? It's just a plane dude. Plus you can go visit it anytime you want.

I was just thinking that you may see it again someday. There is a guy that bought a Harrier and rebuilt it for civilian use. Some rich guy might do it with an SR-71 someday too.

You missed a good one. It is probably the most impressive plane ever when you see it fly by at high speed.

I used to go to Oshkosh with my family every year from around 1983. I remember vividly when the SR-71 appeared there for the first time. It is definitely one of the most impressive planes ever. When that thing goes into afterburner it is like a rocket. The sound level is indescribable. They did a bunch of fly bys but

Sorry, you can understand why I mixed it up though.. =)

I subscribe to their e-mails just so i can see what the hell the extreme left is talking about. I have to say it is pretty amusing sometimes.

What the hell is wrong with Ken Block. I used to think he was the coolest guy on the planet. Now I find that he puts frickin Ketchup on a BRAT!?!?!! WTF?!

There is only 1 condiment you put on tubular meat. Mustard. Period. What the hell...

Why is it that no one tells people where to watch from? I mean couldn't someone come by and say "Hey, you are going to die if you stay there"??

Bought an 03 WRX with no spoiler new. 11 years and 300,000 miles later, I have yet to get a ticket in it.

I rarely drive the speed limit. But I try to keep it to 10 or so over.
