I never did understand why Porsche and VW never shared engines much back in the day, even the Ghia didn't really get any power boosts over a regular Bug.

About every Toyotas full of fake aggressive styling, brake vents that do nothing, the weird black area on Corollas, SUVs with factory-made dents...err styling cues.
Too bad they didn't tune a proper car, like the Boxster.
Being a MO dweller myself I know what you mean about the roads, I congratulate you for finding a good blend of modded and stock, obviously the rice guys live in another dimension where RHD swaps are $1, cars never rust or break, and roads are as smooth as a Hot Wheels track.
Let me add brown station wagon\shooting brake buffs to the list, car guys that demand weird obscurities and when automakers do actually make them (rather than constantly tease about them), these hard-core fans just...do nothing and forget about it.
That first point is the one that I see the most, perhaps thats why Panther guys are so defensive about their battered ex-taxis.
And I end up thinking "You seriously spent time researching Calibers?".
Restoration eh? Nice job with that, too often I see money dropped on $300 spoilers over fixing $50 rust bits.
Thats a good point, I don't deny the swiftness of an SRT-4 Neon but they're nothing that I would brag about.
Beat me to it, they also never stop whining about the death of stick (despite there still being a few examples), and how automatics are utter witchcraft.
Its moreso SRT-4 owners from what I've seen, mention "Neon" and they go berzerk.
Agreed wholeheartedly, they'll tell you how tough they are, or how they get 30+ mpg from a slow as molasses V8. And they handle very well! (because the owners never driven a good car).
Well it looks decent at least, out where I'm at theres several tuned S13s, and they all look awful, one being an S13 with the pop-up headlight nose, and too slow to get over a driveway.
Roughly every single post that I'll see on Crown Victorias will go something like:
Best troll post here, Ponies.
This wasn't even a contest, a Nissan Quest-powered sports car vs a factory tuned Benz with a proper engine.
Seriously, its an absolute miracle if you can sell a car on Craigslist without any hagglers thinking you're dumb enough to sell a running car for $300.
I'm confident that the designers from Carbon Motors migrated over to Lexus.
I tried to flip a '92 240 with just 115k on the odometer, but the car was too good for that!
While I do agree, I beg you to find me a half-way decent car review thats both entertaining and NOT over-written. Every young car journalist seems to think that they're the next Clarkson.
