Praise science is a great phrase! I am happy for your brother. Mine died just before the cocktails came out. I wish he had lived long enough to have had that option. I loved him dearly.

I'm so sorry. My brother has luckily, praise science, lived for 25+ years with AIDS. He had less than 20 t-cells when I found out, SF General Hospital saved his life, the first cocktail came out just in time for him. I'm thankful.

He was indeed; he died in 2012 from Parkinson's.

Except you never fully know what your parents are going to be like. Blood is supposedly thicker than water, there are parents who still love and stand by their children who rob, rape, or murder. Thinking that maybe your parents wont reject you out of hand simply because of who you love isn't that strange.

I'm glad he recorded this. It reminds me of that it's not all a happy Will and Grace world out there for so many gay people. It sounds like to me that he had already told some folks in his family and perhaps was addressing it with other family members who had heard it through the grapevine. It's really hard to tell how many people he is talking to and who is who.
