Aw. You sound charming!
Aw. You sound charming!
It's not common sense. It's Republican sense. And the twain shall never meet.
Yep, I live in a town where probably more than half of the inhabitants receive some form of government assistance aside from Medicare and Social Security - there is a lot of WIC, TANF, subsidized housing, welfare, unemployment, etc. I don't hold it against them for getting the assistance they need, but I am angered…
And since then, she's become a Republican who doesn't believe in government assistance, which happens to coincide nicely with the fact that she no longer needs it.
Weird! I've had scary experiences near rural Indiana graveyards as well (I live in Indiana). There is something monumentally creepy about the country graveyards in this state, maybe because so often they are just smack in the middle of nowhere, just in the middle of a field or something. I have an Indiana graveyard…
Whoa! That's creepy. Must have made a long night for you.
Nope, no hat.
I remember thinking that at the time, since like I said, I was interested in spirit guides and stuff. But if he was, he never communicated the reason for it.
The wind has just started really kicking up here in the last 15 minutes or so, but yeah, I think this is the same front. I had a helluva headache for a good portion of the day - I always do right before a major weather change - and about a half hour before the wind started, my headache vanished which means it's here.
Nah, it doesn't sound weird. Although this whole episode was definitely scary for me, I never had the feeling that this entity was evil or wanted to cause me serious harm. I don't know what it could have been protecting me from (my life was fairly dull at the time) but I just wish his presence had been a little less…
I would have shat myself, cried uncontrollably, and then never leave my house again.
Whoa! Creepy. I wish your friends had told you what they saw!
I don't know if it was supernatural in origin, but yes, this actually happened 14 years ago.
I've actually got one more, although this one is not particularly scary.
I've heard about the sensation of something sitting on your chest being related to sleep paralysis, which is why part of me always wanted to believe the sensation of being jumped on was a mutant form of sleep paralysis. And now, sitting here alone in my house while the wind howls outside, I'm beginning to again really…
That's ok, I'm skeptical about this stuff too, although it's fun reading about it. As for your first point, this is always a possibility, although I don't think I've ever experienced a seamless falling-asleep. I'm sort of an insomniac and have to have a very specific and ordered bedtime routine just to have any hope…
It's hilarious to me that there must be a certain breed of 15 year old - like you and me - whose solution to supernatural spookiness is to write the thing a letter.
Ha! Are you in Illinois or Indiana? I'm waiting for this huge front to come through - they said the temp was going to drop 20 degrees inside of an hour and that the wind gusts would be 40mph. Perfect scary story weather!
Never seen that one. I understand about being scared of movies that you know deep down are stupid - I was fucking terrified the first time I saw "Signs" even though I knew full well it was dumb!
I've read about shadow people, but from what I understand, shadow people normally disappear as soon as you really look at them full-on, although I could be wrong about that (it's been a while since I read about it). I never saw this entity during the day, I think I would have completely lost my shit if I did!
