Adaptive cruise control sensor..not sure why they are so unsightly on all vehicles.

Someone needs anger management courses, so I will not even dignify this comment with a response. Besides, I try to avoid trolls all together. Have a good day!

Your statements are not rationale and are heavily biased /disengaging.

You are absolutely right. By sharing the same chassis, I was not inferring they are the same vehicle - just rebadged. They are different in their own right. My interpretation of that screenshot, was that was just another high-performance SUV shootout. In which case, the Cayenne is tailored for it and the Q7 has

No need to be defensive. Your statement was clearly based on personal experience which is to be expected and acceptable. However, it does not mean that it should be the rule. As an analogy, just b/c I have never had a house break-in, should I recommend others keeps their doors unlocked based on my experience? Of

Not sure why they bundled in the Audi Q7 with the Porsche Cayenne since it is built off the same platform/chassis. Since they are both controlled by the VAG group, the Cayenne is meant to dominant in all areas , excluding seating capacity.

I live in the NE too. Clearly you have never seen a car high-centered. The snow gets packed under the car and essentially lifts the weight off the wheels to the point where you cannot get enough traction to break free. Yes, this even happens to snow plows with sand in the back.

Really? So a wagon will have better ground clearance than my SUV with air suspension when in comes to snow accompanying major nor-easters? Yeah... not sure about that. Even an Audi Allroad will have issues out here. At least I stand a chance of pushing through in the rough stuff with 10.80" of ground clearance.

Not really active on that board anymore. However, I am a moderator over on 6SpeedOnline in the Porsche forums. You can find me under the name "Renaissance.Man" . Look me up and send me a PM. Always happy to engage like-minded individuals.

Sheesh.. tell me about it. Mine is lightly modded. Puts out about 692/715 TQ at the crank with just bolt-ons ;) I have a posted dyno on the boards showing the torque curve.

Of course, as usual, the internet brings out the informed in mob mentality. Only people who have never driven a Cayenne (nonetheless a Cayenne Turbo w/ PDCC) will have such a negative view. Proving once again that Jalopnik is full of narrow-minded individuals perpetuating false stereotypes, instead of celebrating

As someone who talks Cayennes on a daily basis.. they are reliable generally speaking. You should look me up on the 6SpeedOnline.com boards under "Renaissance.Man".

Well said!!

As a mod on 6Speed, I beg to differ.

Agree. I am getting tired of all the Cayenne hate which is not justified. Most of the people who hate on them have either:

As a Porsche Cayenne Turbo owner, since when is a truck a minivan? Does a minivan have 10" of ground clearance? Have 3 locking diffs as in a Range Rover? Tow close to to 9,000 lbs - exceeding that of the Ford Raptor? Get real.

I want to tell the guy in the Camry commercial - "Camry's have 'rims'?"...uh, no.. not even close. Now go stand in the corner and think about what you just did. /dontlookatme,turnaround

True or false? A man who drives a flashy exotic is overcompensating?

Right on /thumbs up
