+1.. COTD. Mob mentality and self-righteous. I swear sometimes that this is not a real car site.

Matt, can't believe you said that... way to cut the BS - Awesome.

Also had a blast playing this with my little sister. Boy, those were simpler times...

Interesting you say that..I have asked a couple of Corvette owners and they give the same explanation. I am not also buying it. Could it be that the stock traction control cuts in so early that a lot of people opt to turn it off by default? Hence the issues? I could possibly buy that...

As a serious car guy into high hp applications, why is it that I see so many Corvettes spinning out? Surely it can't ALL be blamed on demographics... short wheel base? Answers?

I second this addition. Over 600 hp / 600 ft lbs of tq with basic mods and tune. No governor with top speed of 185 mph. Tow rating of 8800 lbs with adjustable air suspension. Locking front , center, and rear differentials available.

I get compliments on my CTT about twice a week in the NY metro area, so speak for yourself.

Wow.. V6 with that much weight? That has to be a recipe for FAIL if I ever heard one. I hope this is wrong.

Cant we all just get along?!! /runsforcover

hahaha... I actually remember it b/c I few of them deployed when pushing high-G's when cornering. I imagine it is tied into a yaw sensor. So imagine NOT rolling over, yet having to spend serious coin to replace the popup roll bars. There were some pretty upset people.

I think you are not considering a few key points:

I like it. Might trade in the wife's Audi TT Quattro Roadster for it once they enter the used market at a heavy discount.

I would agree that it would most likely have a pop-up roll bar system. I only heard people talking about them on the BMW forum, where apparently some models are one-time use once deployed... eeekk!

Nicely written! The ingredients for your "Beijing special" already exists as a Porsche Cayenne Turbo (Touareg chassis + 4.8 TT V8).

Wow.. didnt realize that was a Cayenne at the time. I remember watching that video in disbelief that an SUV could have moved that quickly at highway speed and not have spun out into the wall. +1 rep point.

Now playing

"Except take a corner (or a series of them) as fast as an STI. The Cayenne is as good as an SUV can get. It still can't beat the laws of physics."

IT guy here.. Porsche Cayenne Turbo. Already had it chipped to deliver over 600 hp/ 600 tq. It has to be fast.

LOL... I have the same problem with New York'ers. Like no one ever thought it could rain on planet earth. Stop buying those cheap Pepboys tires and move it!

I am not impressed. E46 M3s were fantastic cars, however, in today's auto world, they are underpowered.

I spy a Lexus SC300/SC400 in the background. That was back before they made the models so bland, sans the LFA.
