I think it's pretty brave / awesome of her to post these updates, especially with photos. Ray Rice videos aside, domestic assault is usually something that is hidden behind closed doors. And it extends way beyond just the initial act; recoveries can take months and people are usually left with permanent injuries. It's

Well done, Rachel. Well done.

Just hearsay and allegations. And I signed a plea-bargain. Once again, not true.

RT @Ravens The child deeply regrets his role in the incident.

Roger Goodell and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Week.

This all reads to me as:

October 1: Mueller announces that he has interviewed Goodell, who finally admits that he asked his lieutenants not to retrieve the video. However, Goodell has learned from his lesson, and will be suspended for one month and reinstated.

"Bruce Wayne will conduct an independent investigation overseen by Batman."

I'll take, "The Two Owners Most Likely To Carry Roger Goodell and the NFL Shield's Water" for $1000 please, Samer.

Goodell's supporters be like

The NFL will conduct an independent investigation overseen by the NFL.

I was gonna say it's amazing how tone deaf these people come across, but then I realized that it makes sense for billionaires to be out of touch.

Translation: "My job is so emotionally tough that there's no way I could have done my job."

Done.

Fucking sick of this. Here are the undisputed facts everyone knew before seeing the video. Ray Rice hit his fiancé, and that hit knocked her unconscious. Both were initially charged with a crime. When a grand jury viewed the video, it dropped the charges against her, and increased the charges against him.

Right, I just don't see how it was the first time. Abuse doesn't typically start with two fists to the face. It starts slower; a push, an arm grab, then eventually a hit, then a long while before another hit. Plus, the way he so nonchalantly drags her out of the elevator and tries to just sit her up....those are not

To me, this statement seems to line up with what I was worried about. He is angry, she is almost definitely in danger and he blames her for all of this. She's defending him. This is so typical.

The media and public "options" really do owe her an apology for knocking her the fuck out.
