@Paradox me: This. Unless your child is allowed to be up at 3am to watch MTV, I don't know how he would have been subjected to a music video (youtube?). It's for the better, as most new music videos are just light porn with horrible soundtracks. Just like MTV's programming...

@kimarimonku: If you're in the States, check your local Gamestop for a free demo disc. Several in my area still have the cases full of discs on the counter, so it's worth a shot.

@Wahrheit: I just drew a circle around a monkey, but you seem to have a much better handle on Highlights and Waldo than I.

I found him.

If by "adult gaming" you mean profanity screaming, whining, and racial slurs, then yes. Thank goodness for parental controls.

Funny that this came the day after Luke's feature on the awkwardness of gaming genres.

This is the only 3D capable device I haven't judged to be a waste of time and money. Not at all coincidentally, it's also the only 3D capable device that has advanced in technology since the 1950s.

I'm just stuck on the fact that he was using his phone on the toilet in a public restroom. ....The thing you hold up to your mouth to talk.

@effin: True, but you are likely an avid gamer who keeps up with gaming news. The actual genre name is probably not that useful to you if you're reading news and reviews before making the purchase. We're the niche hardcore Luke is talking about.

..... Traaaaaap

@laser beams: I started from scratch and just worked my way up from the feet. It only took about an hour, but I didn't change much for the animations, other than moving the feet for walking (kept them 2d sideways for fun) and the hoorah! animation.

@laser beams: I wouldn't mind trading for your Ico if you find the time. The creator really is fun. I have barely played the actual game yet. The only thing I don't like is the limited number of colors you can use at once. I had to use the same color for Curly's pants as the darker portion of her hair. It keeps

They don't accept licensed submissions, so here is my Curly Brace if anyone is interested:

Stop advertising for this stupid game, Kotaku!

@-MasterDex-: Gawker has been doing that all bloody day. I still don't have that much faith in people who pirate games, but I hope you're right in that there are those who would actually pay for the game if it weren't available for free. It just blows my mind that somebody with the money and desire to play a game

@-MasterDex-: You're right about making the shareholders feel protected, but DRM never helps to stem piracy. It may take some time, but pirates always find a way around DRM. Assassin's Creed 2 was hacked almost instantly, and the only people who were really affected by the DRM were the people who bought the game

@Trygle12's posts considered harmful!: Do they? I really don't believe that people who pirate games would ever see paying as an alternative. Even if there were no available pirated version, they would simply ignore it rather than pay $1. If this is true, there is no impact on sales, indie or not.
