Or anyone who doesn't want to die or be seriously injured in an accident, like me! I'd still love driving, and do so on track days, but leave me out of risking life and limb to get my groceries.

I wish Webber had stayed out! I'm guessing that his tires would have gone off the cliff in the last few laps and he would have dropped a spot or two, but it would be no different than what he resigned to when he pitted the last time!

I wouldn't call that a poorly advised move. It was just terrible luck- there was rubbin' later in the race that was much more violent than that and had no ill consequences.

Fair enough! You make a very reasonable argument. Plenty of other people insist on a power bump with no corresponding price increase or other refinements. And yeah, I was surprised by the 370z numbers too.

Sorry, my prove or disprove comment was more along the lines of "independent of this argument /discussion, what else are you considering? I'm just genuinely curious." I considered similar cars as well, can't go wrong with that lot. Enjoy!

This doesn't prove or disprove anything, I'm just curious. What are you considering instead?

The FR-S and BRZ sold 24,000 units in the first 12 months, while the 370z had 7,300 units sold in 2012. Even if adding 75 hp took away a quarter of those sales (which I don't think it would), it would only increase the toyobaru sales by 7%, but at a lower margin (if they keep sticker the same for the FR-S, which they

And of course, your method does sound good for a normal stop! Less chance of sliding than with brakes.

Do you think they would actually sell many more if they bumped it up 50 hp? I doubt it.

So, you can stop more quickly with your engine braking than someone else can while using their brakes? Otherwise, the AWD isn't helping you stop if you can't do it better.

... Ever heard of GM?

It's not unfortunate as long as you're happy! But anyways, one reason I could see for getting a super light bike for myself is because those bikes tend to have other nicer features.. They don't make a camry with independent McPherson's or brembo's in the same sense that they don't build a huffy with Di2 or a race-y

That may be true for you, but some of us are in peak physical condition and don't have any body fat to lose.

You are right, however, aero isn't negligible on the pro level, even in the pyrenees. Team sky havw found this to be so, and Chris froome maintained a quite aero position even on long climbs.

As far as TC and active aero are concerned, do you think it's possible that the bans actually foster innovation in other fields? That is, there is some new development, it's used for some period of time, is banned, and then the constructors have to look in some completely other direction for progress. If they still

Doesn't bother me nearly as much as all the plates obfuscated by nearly opaque plastic license plate holders!

Meh.. To each their own, of course, but it's so much more convenient to use the rack. I drive to lots of rides and a few races after work, and taking off the wheel or wheels gets old quick. Especially if your gear gets muddy! And the rack comes off easily at the end of the riding day.

Overrated road! :-P

I also have some footage from the grassy knoll, but I've been busy, you know.

Granny gear: sometimes on the main page I have trouble finding the morning shift. Please consider making one of the images the morning shift icon or something.
