Eh, based on his history (and even quotes in this article) indicate that he isn't all that altruistic. He doesn't care about shining a light.

I'm saying that I agree with what he said, but that it was still stupid of him to say. I didn't get that sentiment from your post, but I may have misunderstood.
Yes, but it's the audacity of him calling one of his customers stupid.
Haha, so glad I watched that last night and not tonight!
Why do people who are into racing love the word "penultimate" so much? I feel like I only hear it in the context of a racing season. Sure, here it's in a different context, but still being used by someone very attuned to motor racing.
Well yes, I realize that is an option and that "of" is a preposition. But I feel like "the morning of" might be used often enough to be a noun (or nounal phrase?) itself.
Same here! Especially with my european friends, because they are almost always watching it before me (and actually care about F1).
"Ideally, the best way to buy a car is to pay cash in full so you own it outright, even if this means buying something older."
Was that the headline you wanted to use, or have you caved to the spoiler whiners?
I think that having separate allotments for qualifying vs. the race would be really great. Maybe require those who make it to Q3 to start on the same compound, but not the same tire.
NYC's subway is one of the most functional in the world. it services so much terrain compared to the other cities I've been to, even per capita- that is, it is a way bigger system because NYC is so much bigger, but you can also access more places per square mile and at more times.
I've made absolutely no comments about the car itself, I think it is fantastic.
Oh, no argument there. But it's still extremely deceptive advertising.
That is true, but it also depends on if you're salaried or do billable hours. There are people at my company who make that, but if they spend extra time at their desk they don't get any more money. People like lawyers on the other hand could indeed use that time to make more money. But a huge chunk of us couldn't. But…
12,000 is fine, but the problem is that they then calculate your fuel savings based on traveling 15,000 miles. Which is 3,000 miles more than they will allow you to drive.
The Tesla deal also claims $5/gallon (I've never paid that), that your other car gets terrible mileage, and that your time spent not going to the gas station is worth $100/hour. Never mind the fact that it's ridiculous logic in the first place.
Yep, I'm on campus at least twice a week. It's terrible. Fortunately our garage is one way, which makes it a bit safer... until someone inevitably drives the wrong way, which I see at least once a month.
They were all being idiots, but the volvo driver was infinitely more stupid as her actions endangered everyone involved.
I'm afraid of them, but honestly only because of how terribly everyone else drives. People absolutely FLY through them, around blind and tight corners where a car could be pulling out or a pedestrian walking. I always drive much slower than it feels like I should in a parking lot.
How do they measure pit stop time in F1?
