I don't think either of you are looking at the right section, this is all about crossing over the center line. Where the applicable statute is, I don't know...

No no no no no. I don't know where you live, but have you seen how terribly people drive? Tailgating and cutting people off in particular. Those offenses aren't strictly related to speed, but are much dangerous at speed. Also, such an arbitrary definition makes enforcement impractical. Sorry, but I don't want people

My dvr hasn't missed a race because they typically don't conflict with absolutely anything else. I honestly am not committed enough to watch the practices very often. So I don't think this will be a big change for me.

That's true. It will also be nice to not have to worry about inferior directors or camera angles. Sometimes switching up who is providing the feed can go very poorly.

Interesting! I'll have to keep an eye out for that. I guess I can't do side-by-side f1, but I will probably have a chance to compare comparable events.

Ah, I have a DVR, so replays haven't mattered to me for a while. I think fox had at least three races last year, but I honestly don't think having more will increase the sport's popularity in the US. But hopefully I'm wrong!

Ah, fair enough. I'm not into it enough to watch the practices, except when I have oodles of time.

I'm guessing that yellow track shoes weren't the only option, those are a statement.

Aside from F1 36, I don't see how this is very different than speed. In the past few years I can't recall a single clipped race, including the Grand Prix du Canada that went for about 5 hours. And didn't they typically have full coverage of most practices live?

More specifically, having the driver adjust the center diff mid turn seems like a terrible idea. I don't know how well an automated system would work.

That sounds like a terrible idea or application. Anyone else agree?

What, you used a source? Blasphemy! I guess I am wrong.. unfortunately for all of us!

I dunno about braking distances, at least if that truck is a volvo! ;)

There is a massive difference between the nose of a zo6 and almost every other car. I'd be interested to see how well these work for a "mid size" sedan.

"Corvettes don't have back seats"

If you can do it without scratching or denting their car, more power to you. I would just never be confident enough to be sure I wouldn't do any damage.

More dollars than cents!

You have to unlock the car with your fob? That's just a crappy system, not inherent to proximity keys.

Well no, even if the liberty parked first, like an asshat, you shouldn't park like that next to him.

I never said it wasn't illegal... I said not that wrong. We here have a pretty high tolerance for illegal behavior... some speeding, hooning in parking lots etc. My sense of right and wrong is not based on the law.
