Question for those who are well driven: if you ruled out nostalgia and collectability, how does this car compare to other cars that have since been released? Drivability, comfort, sound, whatever stands out to you.

I don't care if there are any straighter sections. If you can't pass safely, DON'T.

Sure, they shouldn't be on the road, but the skateboarders weren't doing anything *that* wrong. I'd say they were only endangering themselves. The FJ Cruiser was 100% at fault. If there's a vehicle or pedestrian moving too slowly for you, you wait for a safe opportunity to pass.

In this month's consumer reports they called it "vestigial rear seating."

This reminds me of Ender's game, when Ender finds the land he had seen in his dreams.

True, I guess there is a comparison there, it just depends on what they cut. But I do think that if you're cutting costs AND adding some other features you're going to end up with an underwhelming car or end up not cutting costs at all. But we'll (maybe) see!

Oh, no hat tip? You have indeed been wronged! (Not sarcasm, but maybe over-enthusiasm)

Sometimes I wonder if I make too much out of how much I love my car, thinking that perhaps I think I enjoy it more than I do.

Maybe it didn't merit a weekday post? ;-)

Eh, that's precisely why I bought a car that can't accommodate kids, because I'm in a 5 year window now where I could have one before having kids, and won't be able to again until they're much older. If the price is right I may have bought one of these.

How do the costs of a car break down? As in, what does a leather interior actually cost, what's the cost to produce the frame, etc. I'd be very interested to see a list but couldn't find one.

Isn't the point a cheaper version?

Does the phrase he used have a hateful origin ? Yes. Should he have said it? Hell no. But was he being hateful? Certainly not. Words need to be taken into context. If I say "what a bitch." when I spill some milk it's massively different than when I say about a woman "what a bitch." I shouldn't say either, but one is

I definitely cross shopped between these two cars... And am a very happy fr-s owner. But would probably be similarly happy with an abarth. I don't know what you're getting at.

I drive through a winding rural roads quite often. Do you live in an area with trees? (I only recently traveled to the midwest, and was shocked that I could see the horizon on land.) Where I am, even a gentle bend means very little visibility up ahead, especially if you are driving enthusiastically. There could be

You NEVER know whether or not someone else is around, that's the problem. If you're on a road, you have to assume someone could be anywhere.

The predator is indeed ugly, but so is this. It just looks bloated. I'd say the beast of kandahar looks better, but even that is no looker.

It doesn't matter how great you are, if you're a jerk, no one's going to like you. And I'd say there's nothing wrong with that.

The answer is always Miata!

1. Bet someone you'll lose weight, make stakes $1,000 a pound.
