The only other opinion I’ve seen so far was pretty positive. But that was from someone who works for another Paradox company. Good to have a more balanced view.

Currently gathering dust under the clothes rack. But there’s an electronics recycling facility around my way. Once I get my new PC I think I’ll go there and deposit all my old stuff.

The graphics kind of remind me of the proto-cgi you saw in movies in the 60s - 80s. The ones the come to mind are 2001 and Weird Science.

Even while I’m one of the people you’re talking about, I don’t know why I’ve bought into the hype. Neither RPGs or cyberpunk are my favourite genres, and yet I bought a new PC, the special edition, and so on.

Any fans of Shadowrun here? When I saw CFD, I just had a moment of concern. I wouldn’t trust a car designed by monads.

Someone called this an updated Too Human. For a brief moment, I was interested. Then I remembered I liked TH for the worldbuilding, design, and art, not the gameplay.

From the name, it soounds more like augmented reality.

In Skyrim, I always make my Redguards bald. That’s more an engine quirk. From some angles, Redguard hair disappears for a few seconds. bad for immersion. Easier to make them bald to start with.

I’m fine with spiders, it’s snakes and reptiles in general that creep me out. But I’m sympathetic. Spiders really are a common enemy.

Somehow that’s even more disturbing!

Not so much the stairs, it’s the door that doesn’t lead anywhere.

Sexually suggestive. “Oh yes, this credit offer is actually code for [something uncomfortably kinky], honest!”

The ones who settled on the Orkneys, sure. :)

Wow, this got me a follow from Kotaku. I’m not even Asian. I just care about bad takes. Next up, no more horns on viking helmets.

The Kuei-jin aren’t another clan, they’re fundamentally a different kind of vampire. They aren’t descended from the first vampire, made in a different way, and have different strengths and weaknesses. The lead developer of Kindred of the East later apologised for the shameless orientalism.

Bloody hell. You called it! Take a bow.

I’ve played a few hours in early access. As someone who loves 1 & 2, I found 3 to just be lacking something. The phase beast fights for one. Kill this creature, go to a small challenge level. in 1 & 2, there was some variety. 3, it’s the same tedious boss fight every time, without even good rewards. I actually stopped

I don’t know if I should be amused or horrified.

What’s next, a Lenin Funko?

I dunno. But *I* changed my mind at least. While I’m not claiming to be an expert, my guess is their ambition exceeded skill level and/or development time, and spent the last few years making NMS into what they wanted it to be originally.
