I have issues with this list but the biggest one is XII being ranked way too high. listed as 3rd best when IMO it should be closer to bottom 3. It’s a single-player MMO, complete with boring auto-attack battles and storyline that you play almost no part in. they had to add a fast forward button to the game to make it

hahahaha VIII?
This post was reasonable until then.

X-2 (ostensibly) non-linear design is absolutely destroyed by the sheer amount of missables. (Gotta sell them strategy guides)

Good old econ 101, competition leads to price.....increases

I guess I was one of the most dejected players, because FF XIII’s battle system definitely did not carry me through.

Translation: “We see an opportunity to make more money and we’re going for it.”

If their target was the merger... well, frankly I disagree, I don’t think Microsoft has made a strong case and the idea of it eating a major third-party publisher and developer improving competition in the market is laughable. But I can see it going either way in court.

As someone who likes the Series S a lot, this is just stupid. $350 just isn’t worth it. You can get a digital only PS5 for $50 more.

That’s because Diablo IV’s hardcore mode treats disconnects like death in order to discourage players from trying to pull the plug in a losing battle to avoid losing a character.

Still not as cheap as upgrading a PS5, but at least the monopoly is finally over. Hopefully we’ll see something beginning to approach parity in the near future.

This angle about CGI to try to go after Sony is odd considering Microsoft has been as bad as any publisher historically about not including in-game footage, and worse than most about delays/cancellations. In-game cinematics don’t really help either. So for them to not include game footage in most of their trailers for

What’s amazing about VR and what’s limiting about VR are both things you can see almost immediately after purchasing a headset. I think my Quest 2 is pretty cool. Beat Saber is fun, and hooking it up to my PC to play Half Life Alyx was rad. But I treat that thing like a board game. It sits in a closet and gets played

Wow, what a joke. Forget this thing. That price, Christ.

How was Sony’s showcase underwhelming?

Any news on if we can use it with Steam/Meta/external games and apps? Windows support? Otherwise even if I was rich enough I wouldn’t.

With all due respect to Xbox they should worry more about the content of their first party games and not the trailers for them... they haven’t release a good first party game in a minute.

How does a Bison Dollar compare to a Shrute Buck?

Yeah, the first game with moogles (FF3) used “nyaa” in place of “kupo”, which is just the Japanese onomatopoeia for cats, but over time it kinda morphed into a word they all said all the time. I liked FF13-2 but Mog’s constant “kupo”-ing got a little grating.

Sony does have a record of integrating technology and collaborations between their studios—rather than leaving them isolated and grasping.

maybe they should just not be buying studios, then—considering that they are only adding to the impression that they have no vision for the future of gaming besides monopolizing it.
