In what way is it shifting? All of the PS5 exclusives I can think of have performance modes: FF16, FF7 Rebirth, Helldivers 2, Spider-Man 2, Ratchet & Clank. They all have performance modes.

This statement feels completely, absolutely off base. Virtually every major console game released these days has a “performance” mode that targets 60fps by reducing the graphical fidelity. 30fps is the default target for most games because developers want their games to look prettier, not because their games are CPU-li…
All that I can say is that resting on one’s laurels is dangerous. Sometimes you have a literally untouchable position and you can keep churning out drivel that turns to gold. Other times you end up like Sim City, that legendary game series that people occasionally mention while enjoying Cities: Skylines.
Question: In some of the photos of the Access Controller, it looked like there was audio jack-type port that would support external input options. Is that not the case? Was that port removed, or did it turn out to be just a standard headphone jack?
It’s kind of crazy that there used to be two competitors in the console gaming space. Now there are three but we completely ignore one as a competitor for some reason, despite Nintendo’s massive sales.
And Nintendo, too! Right? Right...?
Kojima makes unique games. Metal Gear Solid V, despite all its flaws, is an amazing sandbox experience that is the toolbox-based Yin to Breath of the Wild’s environment-based Yang.
Quite possibly, though phones are also much closer to a personal computer than they are to a dedicated gaming machine. OTOH, consoles these days offer a lot of apps and most of them have browsers, so *shrug* Also, all those consoles mentioned still support physical media, whereas phones do not. So they technically…
Their president was fired and they cancelled at least one of their games?
Ouch. Sounds like Blizzard in particular was gutted to hell.
Sounds like it was simply a language error. By my grok of the definitions, Palword would be a parody since it’s specifically targeting Pokemon, whereas a satire would be a general focus like “capitalism.” (Which Palworld still kind of does, but it’s definitely doing it through the lense of Pokemon)
Satire doesn’t have to be good to be legal.
I looked at the contours and the video is misleading. The legs are quite different, but the blending makes them seem identical. The proportions on all these models (ie the distances between the front and and hind legs) are quite similar, but the polygons are in no way copied. Seems more like an artist used pokemon…
Nintendo doesn’t have the copyright to Pokemon. The Pokemon Company does, of which Nintendo has a 33%(?) share.
How much did you actually play the game? The tropes are kind of there to be subverted. For example, by the end of the game the smart guy is not wearing glasses anymore...
I was not impressed by FFXV’s story until the ending this article mentions. It really does make it all worth it.
One thing I will say about Valhalla is that they nailed the loot system. I hated Origins’ and Odyssey’s Diablo-esque random loot with levels. That you can find specific equipment in Valhalla, then see it visually improve as you upgrade it is so *chef’s kiss.*
Aren’t there difficulty settings in God of War? And you can always self-impose difficulty by using lower-tier gear. Like in the good ol’ days of low-level RPG runs!
This is good news, and hopefully it spills over into other territories as well.
Ah, thank you. This makes me understand your thought process much better. Though do realize that stance amounts to “seatbeats are sometimes harmful, therefore they should not be required in vehicles.”
