Sometimes actors save films despite their writers’ best efforts. Jenna Ortega saved Wednesday from being insufferably out of character, and Jean Reno saved Leon from being a complete creepshow catastrophe.

It’s not nothing, but poster said “a lot” which implies much more than one thing!

To be fair, that video is about how they addressed the specific requirements of BotW, which doesn’t fit most games. Not all open-world games are going to have climb-anywhere (nor should they!), not all open-world games would benefit from purely random loot. Even still, BotW’s open world was incredibly boring for me,

Yeah, that’s wrong. We can make fun of Redfall as a game for being pushed out the door waaay too early, but let’s not shit on the developers themselves!

One of the responses came from CEO Bobby Kotick who pointed to the idea to buy Guitar Hero publisher RedOctane over a decade ago as an example of the virtues of in-person collaboration.

Aside from a map littered with icons, what open world design issue did BotW solve?

They’re both abstract tho, so either they’re both real or they’re both not real.

Sure, if you create your own definition of a word, you can make whatever you want fit that word! (Side note: it’s a pet peeve of mine when people decide to twist a word to rewrite a narrative, instead of actually understanding a concept)

Every single day phones are used to illegally scam people. So I guess that means that phones should be outlawed, right? I mean, if something can be used for illegitimate purposes, the right thing to do is criminalize that thing, rather than the person committing the crime, amirite?

Copyright is in itself made up, which is why it is sometimes laughably confusing.

OK Boomer

How many people have compared it?

Either scenario still means bad management. If a developer comes up with an idea, it’s the higher up’s job to help shape that idea into a fun game. If it’s the publisher’s idea, then it’s still their job to make sure that idea results in a fun game. Miyamoto is legendary in part because of the tales in which he saved g

I thought about this. But then I remembered that Bloodborne and God of War are legitimately two of my top games from last generation (just under XCOM 2 and MGSV).

Why did you announce Fable, Starfield, and others so far in advance?

The whole critique also makes a very valid point: Microsoft is buying IP instead of talent. It’s pretty clear there’s something wrong with management, and the Xbox division has seemingly made zero steps to actually improve their developer support process. That’s the problem at Microsoft, and is something that Nintendo

Everything you said could also be said about PS. There are constant sales on the system, and PS Plus has a ton of bangers. Plus the free monthly games are usually pretty good. How many people saying Gamepass is far superior have actually given PS Plus a good shake?

But if you’re not subbing for the first party games, then how is GP any better than PS Plus?

I think you mean software side? BC and Gamepass are not tech, they’re software. The Dualsense’s adaptive triggers and the Switch’s dockability are tech.

Why is Microsoft allowed to own Windows and huge data centers and make computers? I have no idea, but the ship sailed on that one.
