I think those things go hand-in-hand. In order for random loot to be random, there needs to be sufficient variance. For players to then get a chance at something they actually want, the drop rate needs to be turned up to 11. You can’t have a game with very little random loot without leaving a lot of players unhappy.

It feels off whenever a game makes purple the “ultimate” rarity. Most games do something like blue/green->yellow->orange, which works fairly well because it roughly follows the color scale, getting hotter as rarity increases. Then suddenly the game throws an extremely cool color at you and expects your mind to read it…

PS4 games have been able to be stored and played via USB since launch. This update adds the ability to store (but not play) PS5 games to USB as well.

I agree completely. I said at the time this game came out that I was so glad the game actually existed, because this is the kind of thing that so rarely gets the greenlight, let alone actually released. I want more of these small-scale spitball RPGs!

Hunger is like an addiction that you can’t treat. For those very rare few, their bodies naturally regulate or their tastebuds naturally incline them to healthier foods. But for the rest of world, we either struggle with being hungry or with being unhealthy.

I think that right now, PS Plus is a much better deal than PS Now. There are a bunch of Sony games on the service, and they’ve already given out two PS5 games for free on their release dates (Bugsnax and now Oddworld: Soulstorm).

Fun Fact: If not for the copyright legislation of 1976, this project could legally be released in 2030. But thanks to those laws, this game can now legally be released in 2097.
