Yeah, it certainly wasn’t the greatest. But it’s perhaps laudable that they were able to scrounge their own VR together so quickly just by repurposing their existing tech.

The games have also evolved. Back when this new wave of VR first started, I played some games and was like “that’s neat.” But going back now and playing some of the games that were released last year, it’s much more of a “holy shit, this is awesome” moment. I feel bad for anyone who tried out VR in 2016 and wrote it

Hmmmm... The Fusion Grenade is actually rather decent. It has a huge AoE when maxed out, and is therefore incredibly useful in Challenge mode as a means of preventing damage from large mobs.

COVID strikes again

To be fair, it’s one thing for a game series that’s always been exclusive to a console to remain exclusive to that console. It’s something else entirely for a formerly non-exclusive to become exclusive.

Don’t forget that MLB The Show on Xbox will also definitely have a “PlayStation Studios” logo on it.

Aren’t we all gamers here, though? And therefore we know that there are PC-exclusive games. I’m not sure that “barebones” is valid for most of us.

Virtually all Series X games are available on PC. The same cannot be said of PS5. It is entirely pragmatic to say “why not PS5.

Too many games release as a Cloud version on the Switch. This seems to be proof that the Switch needs a little more juice.

I think better looking Miis would top the list. Nintendo already proved they can (secretly) by having all BotW NPCs actually be Miis. It’s just silly every time I see those boring-ass characters show up alongside the beautifully rendered Mario staples in yet another game.

It’s Heather’s tone, which she needs to dial down a bit!

This has always confused me. Blizzard is always talking about all the changes they’re making to Diablo 4 to give players a better endgame. I know a dozen people who play Diablo 2 or 3 on a regular basis. One of them ever plays past the campaign. Why do developers so often design their games around the minority of

Now that my launch PS3 has crapped out, I’m left trying to figure out how to play my PS2 games on an HDTV. Really disappointed in Sony for not including more BC in PS5.

Yeah, I have no idea what happened to it. I tried to add a link, and, uh, wow.

It seems a little silly to imply that Fenyx Rising stole from Breath of the Wild. BotW stole way more from Assassin’s Creed than Fenyx Rising (a game made by the people who make Assassin’s Creed) did from BotW.

By that logic, isn’t the best gaming PC a laptop?

The DLC is locked to the PS5, so making the upgrade free probably earns them money. Way easier to make a customer pay $15 for content they don’t own than $75 for content they mostly do own.

Do we know for sure there’s a one-year exclusivity deal in place here? With FFXVI being 100% exclusive to PlayStation+PC, it wouldn’t be a stretch to say that Sony also secured that same deal for the other major FF property.

The battle system at least seems a bit different. You have an ever-expanding command gauge and skills cost fractional amounts of that gauge, instead of one turn, one action. It’s also unclear if there’s any amount of “wait” capability, which can otherwise make such a system too hectic at times.
