Getting in trouble is one thing, thats why we do things like ban accounts and allow grievances to be filed on a lot of these sites. But to try to put someone in jail for 8 years because of something he said stupidly online is far too overboard.

Honestly for simply stating something, however stupid it was to state. I would think probation or house arrest would be more just than jail time.

I would like to point out something because i think a lot of consumers dont realize it. Yes they have changed their desicion. However the console is not even out yet, this stuff likely does indeed take work to change, but because the system is still a ways out they can easily accomodate it before its out.

They would need to get somewhere near that number of consoles out there before it became any sort of real factor, and if they sold numbers that well, they would probably just expand the number of servers.

They did clarify it to say that as to your 10 family only one can be playing a given game at a time but all can access your library.

You realize its a new system right? And that the main reason they cant port over your other games is because the interior of the system is fundamentally different and they would have to reprogram every game.

You do realize that they are talking about whats going to be done on the Xbox One right? The fact that you cant roam with your xbox 360 games is something thats changing with the Xbox One. I dont really get that as something to be upset that they havent done it yet.

By all accounts games should cost more than 60$ with the inflation of current times. Im happy they are not getting more expensive.

You may buy all this but a lot of it is going the way of digital, I havent bought a physical movie in quite some time myself same for music. I still buy books though. But in a lot of media, digital distribution is going futher than a lot of the physical.

The policy is instated at the moment because everything they are trying to do is digital. Its all digital and they still want you to be able to play a game, sell it or any number of things. Steam doesn't allow resale or sharing.

Well that is why you can still install them off the Blue rays, which should get around any high internet usage. The few things it needs to do dont take much information.

I think if you had the disc be the authentication you would no longer be able to have the cloud version of your library. And you wouldnt be able to do something like access your complete library at a friends without having all the disks with you.

Hey i get it, i enjoy owning the disk too. And i think they recognize it but are also trying to fit in with what is gradually changing. And that mostly they are just terrible at getting that message out there.

Hey, no i get it. You have very valuable concerns and i honestly wish MS was on top of it more and actually explained things. I think Microsoft is looking at the long run though.
