As to the 24 hour point itself. Because the entire library is stored digitally not run from the disc and that a second save of the library is in the cloud. It needs to ping back so it knows whether you have traded/sold a game. Because otherwise you would be able to trade in a game a day after you bought it and get

You can use the 500gig harddrive that comes with it or any harddrive that you want through the usb port connection.

Ok that is completely wrong. When you go to a friends house and play your library on his console all that happens is that it checks in every hour to see if your still at your firends place to keep access to your account. It does not kick you off, it just decreases the time between pings.

Steam games also cant be resold to gamestop. They dont need anything beyond the initial activation.

you can play the game as its downloading/installing the same way the ps4 does.

They said the connection required to make the ping is literally kilobytes of data. Even a poor connection would be enough to keep the games part running.

Just because you have the disc, its mostly for installing purposes and for whatever physical stuff may come with the games. The actual game is more or less digital, they just want to placate the game stores and people who like the physical things.

Wow, Kotaku really had to scrape the barrel to create some extra fire didnt they. The bit with Microsoft / kinect is like 20-30 seconds of the piece really and its not so much a shot as a funny bit on its ability to read the body, not its privacy features.

MGS 5 and Witcher are not exclusives.

That would be pretty awesome, though it may take more than that to cover all the material. Though i am definitely excited for this next movie.

Its not a perfect game, the controls and frame rate can get a little annoying a couple times, but never enough to ruin the game.

It will be released on the PC in a little bit. From what i understand some of the stuff had to be programmed a little differently for the pc and its a small team so they needed more time for that version.

Lets put this out there.

I would tend to agree with you. JRPG is a term we give to not just gameplay but the art style and story style of an RPG.

It seems to me that this article is kind of pointless in a way, no offense to the author.

Games are not equivalent to the movie industry. I hate this argument, if you think about it properly it does not stack up.

The thing about a lot of games and the problems people make. Many games with long dev cycles try not to get announced till its only a year or two away so you don't mess all the hype and create expectations that are too crazy.

I mean i love achievements myself, but i only really go for them if they involve doing something fun within the game or something that adds a challenge. I dont let them dictate how i play a game, or let them ruin a game for me. Its about choices.
