Bingo. Instead of criticizing Eastwood for setting a unrealistic standard we'll just act like aggressiveness or abusive ass holes so everyone knows that we're tough shit.

I wish I was as optimistic as you but my fingers are also crossed.
Thank you! So many modern games are too obsessed with focusing on appealing to EVERYONE. While there are games out there that benefit from such mass appeal there are others which, quite frankly, will never appeal to certain people. Trying to please everyone at the expense of your target demographic is a sure fire way…
Right now anything that's not a Medal of Dutyfield clone, Mass Age or a roster update for a sports game is considered "niche". There are no more demographics there's just AAA and everything else. When a game can sell 3 million copies and be considered a failure there is something VERY wrong with your industry.
So the industry will need to focus on even more bloated, overly polished and overly generic mush to stay afloat? Well good luck with that!
Very true and a very over looked and often unmentioned point. In America it seems a male power fantasy is to say "Billy your body looks like shit. Try looking more jacked like me then you can get bitches!" while in Japan you have a character who's appearance is much more relatable. Yes, yes, you have your Dragon Ball…
Yeah, like, remember Picasso and how none of his people looked like people? Yeah I'm sorry but I've been nice up until now but now I have to call you a moron. Because if you're not a morn you are a troll, and would never accuse you of being a troll (I've built up too much respect for you at this point).
Basically this. I think some times we are as insecure we're so insecure that we keep it to ourselves, bury those emotions deep inside then act overly macho to compensate in an effort to force ourselves to act out those overly macho standards. I know some people who act just like that, too.
Yes, because only human cameras who draw people with 100% accurate proportions are truly creative and artistic. People who take creative licensing on the human form are the least creative and artistic people ever, I swear. That's why shows like Adventure Time, Regular Show, Phinias and Ferb, Gravity Falls, My Little…
No that is most definitely an art style. Simply not approving of it does not make it less art than it is.
Aaaaand you continue to generalize and pretend like you're generalization are more valid than your adversaries. That's just darling.
Don't feed into my ego :P
Yeah I walked into that one....
Yes, you people. Because I'm referring to a very special sort of commenter.
You don't have to like art. You don't have to like what it's intent is, what it's style means or anything else about it. Art is open to interpolation from all sorts of people, especially to those whom it may not have been explicitly made for if it was made for a specific audience.
You're allowed to not enjoy it. No every game is made to appeal to everyone. This game clearly was not designed with you in mind and there is nothing wrong with that. Likewise you're free to criticize it for being what it is.
My god there really is no making you people happy, is there?
Couldn't agree more. Mainstream gaming has given the illusion that every game has to be for everyone person, that the target demographic for everything should always be everyone. That's, to be blunt, bull shit. The worst thing to happen to Star trek was when they stopped making it for Trekies. Yeah, the show sell…
Lost, after looking over a few of your posts I must that that while I agree with you arguing the point is futile. Basically, women are the victim in this and approaching the subject matter from any other point of view makes you a terrible person. Likewise, if you are actually a woman and you're making said case you're…
Fine! Fucking don't take my money! See if I care!
